We owned an S&F king size luxury firm pillow top for 9 years and when my back and knees gave out recently, we decided to purchase the estate king size firm tight top mattress. After just 2 nights of comfortable, excellent support, we feel this is a reliable, well- built mattress and recommend it to anyone with arthritis and/or back problems due to advancing age.

I purchased this mattress from PC RICHARDS for my husband who has severe arthritis is his lower back and hips. Unfortunately for me it was like sleeping on boulders on a mountain. I had to go out a purchase a mattress topper so I could get one nights sleep. The only thing I would say IS IF YOU are a senior be careful what you buy.

It is thick enough that all of the new sheets fit it too. I hadn't had this brand of mattress before this one and I wish I had tried it sooner. Other mattresses I had in the past were always too soft. This mattress being firm is going to help my back pain and I'm already sleeping better. I must say that it came at the right time. I'm currently recovering from surgery and waited until it was safe enough for me to switch out my old mattress with this one. As soon as I laid down, I knew that would be the first night I got a decent amount of sleep since coming home after my procedure. With my old mattress, I was constantly trying to turn over due to the springs being extremely uncomfortable which wasn't a good idea for someone who was in pain. I love the Fleur de Lis design on the mattress since it's a symbol that represents my home state. I really like how my body "sinks" into the bed especially after a long day BUT I do wonder if it will hold up after some time has passed. This concern could simply be due to the mattresses that I'm use to so I will definitely pay attention to it. If I had to choose a different type from this company, I would go for the Lux Estate Medium because of the added materials which are perfect for people like me who could really use the cooling cover and Tempur-Indulge Memory Foam. For the price, I would've never been able to purchase it myself, but I would certainly recommend it to people who can afford it. Awful. We got it to replace a 20 yr old S&F. This mattress is a work of pure evil. Underneath you is some sort of material that resembles a thin wool blanket. It will keep you very hot. I've tried sleeping on it for 3 nights, I got 3hrs one night and 2 x 5hrs before being woken by furnace like temperatures. How much of that was REM God only knows. If you like to control your body temp and 'security' by way of your own blankets, seriously look elsewhere. You'll likely find that you'll need to pitch your blankets off which in turn will leave that part of your body getting gradually colder. Their sales documentation states that the mattress takes heat away from the sleeper, that's a lie and false advertising.

I have terrible low back pain and on my old mattress I'd wake up in excruciating pain and have trouble getting up out of bed. With the Stearns and Foster mattress I am sleeping better and waking up in very little pain. I definitely recommend this for someone with back pain.

I am 62 and bought the Estate Collection Firm Pillow Top mattress with adjustable frame 127 days ago. My old mattress was soft and caused back and hip pain so I opted for the mattress with the firm topper. I am a back and side sleeper. Although the mattress initially felt comfortable and luxurious it started agitating my back and hips and I feel pain within 10 minutes of getting up in the morning that lasts all day. Unfortunately, I cannot return the mattress (trial period expired) and it was a very expensive purchase for me. I'm considering buying a Tempur-Pedic topper to see if that gives my back and hips some relief. I wish I had purchased a mattress with a medium topper instead. The medium one may have given me that hotel level luxury sleep I was striving for.

This Estate mattress has a 12" wide strip across where there is a giant indent, it's especially bad smack in the center of the bed. I couldn't figure out why my back was hurting. I would wake up in the morning completely bent over and not be able to straighten out for a couple of hours. I finally figured out that it's the mattress, It has huge indents where there is no support! After taking all the sheets off and pushing on the different areas of the mattress, I noticed his stripe across the entire mattress which is almost like it's been folded there and the springs have separated. Basically, what happens is your body parked in that area will completely sink in and become deformed to the rest of your body. So that was what was happening to me. I had the worst back pain after buying this mattress for about 2 years. I just figured out The source of my back pain and it's the bed. It's so unfortunate: this was supposed to be a gift to myself and it's been a lemon. I literally sleep better on my couch. And wake up without pain! I

King Estate mattress badly sagging after 3 months..sterns and foster is not the quality mattress it once was..10 yr warranty is a joke..they will not help me at all..told me to contact retailer I bought it from..they told me they could not help and to contact sterns and foster..do not waste your money ...
