We bought a firm mattress about three years ago and it was terribly firm. Too firm on our backs. We thought we would just get accustomed to it but it didn’t get any better so we decided to go to another store and see if we could just get another less firm mattress. Yes, we should have gone back to the original store (2 hours away) and see what could be done as far as an exchange or such but being busy retired people, we just didn’t do that. Having gone to a local store here, we were greeted by a very helpful salesman who guided us in purchasing a new mattress top. We received the mattress yesterday and slept on it last night. We noticed a great change in comfort for us. I would definitely select the Stearns and Foster brand and make sure to try them out.

I wish I knew how heavy this mattress was going to be, we have a difficult time tucking in the sheets and blanket. Our old mattress did not sag in the middle, I have to work myself to the side with this one. I also wake up in the middle of the night now since we bought this mattress with pain in my hands, I've tried changing pillows but it doesn't make a difference. Turning the mattress is a real chore. I did not read reviews before buying.

Compared to my first sterns and foster mattress this is a much lower quality. I've tried to give it a few months to get used to it but if anything my disappointment grows. It has very noticeable soft and firm areas.. It almost feels like I can feel the springs in a few spots. I really regret buying it and wish I had my old sterns mattress back.

I certainly needed a new mattress as mine was about 25 years old! The sag in the middle wasn’t conducive to great sleep. It took only 2-3 nights to adjust to my new - Stearns & Foster. Am now enjoying a wonderful nights sleep. I wake up refreshed. I have wanted a Sterns and Foster Mattress for many years. Being on a fixed income, I had to save a little bit here and there, which took me a few years to save enough for my dream mattress. This mattress is like sleeping on a cloud. I have back problems; the firmness is just enough to be able to sleep without pain waking me up in the middle of the night. I get up in the morning and do not have aches and pains in my shoulders or back, which is a blessing within itself. I am yet to find anything about this mattress to complain about.

I used to own Sterns and Foster mattresses years ago, and we moved down south. Bought some Sealy's for our bedrooms. Big mistake. I literally threw out our Sealy's and ordered the Sterns and foster. What a difference a great mattress makes. (and by the way, my Sealy's cost me a bundle anyway). Bravo S&F!
