MOLDS EASILY AND YOU CANT REACH IT TO CLEAN IT
Would not recommend at all. Had mold all in the toothbrush after only 2 months of using it and it is not cleanable the mold ain’t even reachable and all I use is electric toothbrush’s I’ve never had this problem before

i am not totally happy with the purchase, i thought brushes would have the capability of being monitored on my phone, but to no avail. they brush real well but i was expecting more.

Do Not Buy!
My husband bought me this for Christmas and I hate it. By the time you're done brushing your teeth the whole handle of the toothbrush is nothing but slime from the toothpaste and your hand is also covered in wet toothpaste. Would not recommend.

It might help to know that you only need a small dollop of toothpaste on the brush head when brushing. Then, don’t turn the brush on until it’s inside your mouth. Once it’s working, let the brush do the work, moving it from tooth to tooth, without scrubbing. my sensitive teeth love it
Makes brushing enjoyable. I have sensitive gums, and this is one of the only electric toothbrushes that doesn't make them hurt. The timer makes sure I don't overdo it, and the feeling of the cleaning after using it is amazing.
Not what I expected
I received this toothbrush yesterday and was a little disappointed. I believe the advertising is somewhat misleading, details below, and will return it soon. My two big issues are:1 - the toothbrush heads are different that the older versions and, from what I can find out, the old brushes are not interchangeable with the new model. I did not see that documented anywhere and 2 - Also, I think, the advertising implies there is a lighted timer display on the brush someplace. If there is, I cannot find it on the brush.

The standard iO2 toothbrush comes with 1 Oral-B iO Gentle Care brush head. All of our Oral-B iO Replacement Brush Heads (Ultimate Clean, Gentle Care, Ultimate White and Targeted Clean) are compatible with all Oral-B iO handles, including the iO2. There isn't a lighted or visual timer on the iO 2. Instead, it has a vibrating 2-minute timer, breaking the brushing session into 30-second intervals for each quadrant. I bought this toothbrush as a gift for my kids, and they’ve been using it for almost a year now. One of the first things my daughter noticed was the brush head is noticeably larger compared to other Oral-B rechargeable toothbrushes. This can be uncomfortable for users with smaller mouths, but overall, the toothbrush functions well. The battery life is long-lasting and it conveniently charges on the same station as our other Oral-B brushes. However, the internal design is disappointing. While the brush head is removable and can be cleaned separately, water still manages to seep into the handle and gets trapped inside. Over time, this leads to mold growth and a foul odor, which has completely turned my daughter off from using it. She finds the smell so unpleasant that she no longer wants to even touch the toothbrush. For a product at this price point, I expected much better quality and hygiene design. It's unfortunate, because the cleaning performance is solid—but this design flaw really impacts the overall experience.

Regarding the size of the brush head, while the iO Series 2 can be safely used by people 3 years of age and higher, the dimensions of the iO brush heads were designed for permanent teeth, so we recommend iO usage as of 6+ years. If your child is young, this could explain discomfort from the size of the brush head. You also mentioned that you’re concerned about mold growth on the brush. Please know that there’s nothing in our toothbrush components that would cause mold before use. Mold requires organic material to grow, which isn’t present in our brushes. To prevent this, it’s important to clean and dry your brush after each use. Be sure your child rinses the brush head under running water with the handle on. Then switch it off, remove the head, clean both parts separately, and dry them before reattaching. Horrible Toothbrush
A few years ago My dentist recommended I should get an electric toothbrush Sonicare. I have been using it for a little over two years. My new dentist recommended to get an Oral B. So I recently purchased a io series 2. This unit is horrible, it says two minute timer. It does not shut off after two minutes not like my Sonicare. It just gives an extra vibration. vs the vibration it gives off during 30 sec quadrants. The neck of the head is way thicker than the Sonicare. And after ever use I have to pull off the head and clean it out I do not have to do that with my Sonicare. This unit was a waste of money I just hate it.

My dentist insisted I get an Oral B IO because I have crowded teeth and I would get a better clean. I ditched my sonicare for this toothbrush and I regret it deeply. I just got through picking an inch thick layer of black mold from the toothbrush connector. It is so poorly designed to have that issue. I’m mortified.
