On our last storm our power went out and the GP4000 was able to handle the power to my refrigerator. I also was able to keep my families phones charged. With this generator you have two fuel options, gas or propane. Which is perfect for on the go! I used gas to run it and it was super easy to fill! I am beyond pleased with this generator!

I bought this one, it served me well during these power outages they have here in Tennessee. Powered my fridge, two bedrooms ( t/v's and boxes), electric fire places. Filled it up at night, it would run all night. (8+ hours). It served me well. I have the whole house one now.

However, the wheels and handle are handier than a shirt pocket and make it so easy to move! I give 8/10 on noise level its standard for a generator and not super noisy! Plenty of plug ins you could plug in a house or camper! Best part its easy to start so I can do this without my husband being home when those winter storms hit!

The GP5500 has power to spare. It ran all of my essential home items—refrigerator, freezer, Wi-Fi, several lights, and even the microwave—without any strain or noticeable fluctuations. I've also used it to power a couple of heavier tools for outdoor projects, and it handled everything smoothly. Starting it is surprisingly effortless. The recoil start consistently comes to life on the first or second pull as long as the basics (fresh fuel, clean oil) are in order. It's refreshingly straightforward for a generator of this size. In terms of noise, it's about what you'd expect from an open-frame unit—comparable to a lawnmower at a reasonable distance. Audible, yes, but not disruptive or harsh. The fuel efficiency is another standout. One full tank carried me comfortably through an evening and overnight stretch, which was especially appreciated during the outage. If I had to point out a downside, it would be the weight. Even with the wheel kit, maneuvering it across uneven ground takes a bit of strength. Once it's in place, though, it's rock-solid. Once we got it on the wheels it was a breeze to maneuver. This feature helps to get it out of storage once it is actually needed. This generator works great and without jinxing myself I can't wait to use it. This generator will have enough power to operate all of my essential appliances if the power happens to go out. I can't say enough good things about it!!

I bought this tri-fuel model expecting to run it with Natural Gas. When I connect it to either NG or LPG, and switch the fuel selector knob no fuel gets to the cylinder. It will run on Gasoline only. The corporate service department has been no help. They suggested I take it to their closest franchise dealer (in the next county) but it's too heavy to transport myself; but for $240 they'll pick it up and return it with no guarantee it will be repaired. Needless to say I'm more than disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took our new generator to deer camp this weekend and wow what an incredible generator. It is the perfect size for what we needed. Easy to move around and transport, not overly heavy. Is a dependable unit and had no issues at all. Easy to install parts for wheels, handle and legs. My 10yr old put it all together and filled it with the supplied oil. I highly recommend a generac system for all your needs. Generac even makes whole home systems for if you loose power. We will be looking into purchasing one of those for our home.
