If all else fails, read the instructions. I own several of these chairs, probably a dozen fir tailgating. Simply pick upwards on the front cloth of the seat and the chair folds itself closed........Dont listen to these reviews from filks who dont read the instructions. They are strudy. Very comfortable and built to last.

I work as a park ranger in Florida and I've been having to pick up at least 3 of these off the beach each week to throw away because people can't fold them back up and just leave them. Something about the way it folds makes it impossible once it's gotten some sand in it.

Item is a nice color and light weight. The cup holder is a good feature too.
