Hi, i have a 5 yo 3100, manual start, but have garage stored, and maintained impeccably. This year, use approxmately 9 times, the aluminum on the pressure head was cracked, and now requires replacement. I've only used water, so I can't say that chemicals / detergents, resulted in the breakdown of the aluminum. Expected more from the unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a residential Pressure Washer for jobs aroung the house (Clean cement patio and vinyl deck). The unit started with the first pull and worked just fine. For the price, this unit is just what I expected it would be. Good value.

Was looking for 3,000+ PSI. One Wash--variable PSI--was extremely attractive given multiple surfaces to be cleaned, e.g. wood deck, painted siding, concrete driveway. Wanted compact unit for storage and loading in the back of car. Smaller footprint than other models I considered. Folding handle is major advantage for loading in car. Only criticism is difficult to fill/check oil given location and angle of orifice.

Being a retired ag teacher, (taught small engine repair) it was good for Generac because I fixed problem when I got it free of charge. The problem was the unit was shipped with oil still in it after their test run. So after removing the spark plug, (getting all the oil out of cylinder), fueling with ethanol free gas, taking the oil soaked air filter off so it could breath, rigging a clean filter to the engine for test. (using industry leading filter paper), and after 44 pulls (making sure the cord did not slap back as instruction said) the engine cranked smoked for 8-10 min. (burning the excess oil out). Being Sat. and Generac Closed I will wait to see if they will ship me free of charge a new air filter being I have to wait cleaning after storm damage. I have used one wash pressure washer to do my fence, side walks and still in the process of pressure washing the house. This is a good product, however, I find the handle has a tendency to fold when moving the unit. The value for the product is good.

This is my first Generac Pressure Washer, and I have not used it yet, but it feels that it will do the job greater and clean than another brand. Generac you guys did a great engineering.Well production dedication and standing beside the products gave me the security in purchasing the pressure washer. Am very happy that I ran into this product and not the "other one" that in less than a week I had to return it.

Got my pressure washer from a , delivered to the house. Today on 30 May 2015, I un-boxed it. Glad it that it was from Waukesha WI! vs overseas. The pressure washer was easy to assemble and get running. I used it for about 30 minutes and tried the multiple features. The "One Wash" feature was great. However, I had two issues: Issue 1) The On/Off Switch: When I tried to shut the machine off, the power switch wouldn't work. So after inspecting the switch, I found that the Electrical Wire Terminal Spade Connectors Male Female at the back of the switch had vibrated loose. I managed to reconnect it pretty easily, and then the switch worked allowing me to shut the washer down. Issue 2): The hose. During use, the hose kept getting twisted up. After shutting down the washer, I worked to un-tangle it and in the process it burst with a small pin sized hole. Bottom line, the hose is the week link in what seems to be an excellent peace of equipment. Please upgrade your hose.
