Keyboard good - Mouse ... not so much!

Purchased the keyboard / mouse set in March and yesterday the scroll wheel stopped working properly. Changed the batteries, etc but still doesn't work (it no longer "clicks" ... it is hard to control when scrolling up and down - it's very "loose" ... ). Unfortunately, that means having to buy a new mouse. I paid more for this item because it came as a set - but feel like it was a waste of money
