I had the best lawn in the neighborhood and would always receive comments on the color and quality of the grass. Scotts sun/shade is all i have ever used. We just moved into a new home and this spring Scotts sun/shade will be going down as I start the process of improving the yard.

Comes in quickly and filled bare spots in my lawn that I thought would be sparse until next year. I spread the seed in very late fall and was lucky to have cool weather rather than cold. The seed took hold and my lawn looks great. When spring gets here I have a jump start on keeping bare spots and weeds out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Scott's products for 20 years when they came out with this grass seed it made it so easy to fix spots caused from several different things especially dogs in the neighborhood this product was easy to use very effective and I'm happy they finally came out with something that works so good it's easy to use it's not messy you read the instructions and do as they say on it and you will be delighted to see the outcome of it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to fill some spots where I have not had any luck growing grass because of the shade. Put some good soil down first. Then lightly worked the seed into the soil. Watering is key. Do not over water but keep moist and you will have good luck with this seed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had some bare spots in our lawn. Since I always use Miracle Grow Products, I decided to try their Grass Seed. As usual it was outstanding. I found it very easy to use. It germinated quickly. It is filling in the bare spots as I hoped it would. I love Miracle Grow Products!

I purchased this product, the heat tolerant bluegrass & the high traffic seed. I don't think any of them sprouted. They had new soil/loam put down and then were covered with peat moss. I watered twice a day for three weeks and saw nothing. I scraped some of the peat moss away and the seed looked like it had just come out of the bag. Very disappointed with this seed. I spent over $100 on seed alone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this product a couple times to thicken and fill bare spots in my lawn. It works great after aerating the lawn or just heavily raking bare spots. Comes up fast and blends well with my other grass.

I wanted to fill in some large gaps, So I prepped the soil with Scott's lawnsoil in I pulled all weeds and rocks and leveled the area. I spread the seed evenly and watered 2 x a day. I also fenced off the area from people and dogs. After about 1 1/2 weeks it sort of sprouted but the blades were very thin and sparse. I continued to water and about 2 weeks later what little had sprouted just withered away and died. I was thinking maybe it would take a little longer for the other types of grass in the mix to sprout but so far nothing. Not one seeds from the entire bag survived. Anyways I would be happy to try another bag if you send me one for free as maybe I got a bad batch. Other than that I'm really disappointed.
