[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In an area (rather large area) in my yard, it has been barren. I tried other grass seed, but this time I'm actually seeing some sprouting grass. Still early on, but it looks promising.. ~ Some patching areas not growing, but will have to wait and see...

I used it for the first time on my lawn and the results are impressive. I did follow the instructions on the package with good preparation of my lawn prior to seeding. I used the scotts turf builder lawn soil with my grass seed in areas that had no grass (bare spots), together they worked like a charm. I did water my lawn just to keep the soil moist for the most part. never let your seeds dry. KEY IS GOOD WATERING. I even seeded my lawn after applying scotts halt and crabgrass preventer 3 weeks earlier and still got away with it and had some good results (scotts experts will tell you not to seed until after 4 months of using the halt). I also had good temps for the grass to grow (45 F-80 F). Bottom line .. this is an excellent grass seed. strongly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to apply/use. Instructions on package detailed. I used some of it in an area that was sparsely grassy. After preparing the soil, I put the grass seed in, covered it with a thin amount of soil, and watered. The temperature was cooler than normal for Southern Cal with rainy days. However, temps are back to seasonal normal and I have grass growing from the Scotts Sun and Shade Mix application. Scotts always performs as advertised.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really happy with these grass seeds. I applied generously to areas that were having a difficulty producing anything and in a couple weeks I has lots of grass. The grass looks really green and healthy.

I bought this and applied it on September 17th. I overseeded the lawn WITHOUT dethatching the lawn. However, I used Scott's topsoil to fill in some of my craters. In these areas, the seedings did not do too well. I'm fixing to get some humus/manure before winter to address this as the whole lawn is essentially bone dry of nutrients. Up to this point the lawn has southern grass in it, but I'm preferring the northern variety of grass - it can get really cold here in Cincinnati Ohio! If you have hard dry soil, add some humus manure to it before seeding.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just planted because of a very rainy winter. Seeds spread nicely, and waiting for it to grow. I have used Scott's seeds before and have been pleased with the results. Used these for a back lawn that gets half morning sun and half afternoon sun.

I put it in the seed spreader and spread it evenly around the yard. I have seen great results. I would highly recommend this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a new fence installed and used the Sun and Shade mix to fill in the areas the grass was taken up. Soil was loose from the install and we watered daily. About 40% of the seeds sprouted, the grass that sprouted was good quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Scotts turf builder grass is easy to use. I spread mine with a spreader but you could use your hands. It spread out evenly and grew pretty fast I thought. Which we have had the perfect spring rain for grass to grow. It really did a great job at making my lawn look so much better than it was before. I highly recommend this product for your whole yard or just for repair spots.
