Warning: Different product through Sam's

Gave one star for even carrying this product, but have caution: the appliances Sam's/C*stco sells are specially made just for warehouse sales, they're not same quality as what you buy directly through the manufacturer. This mixer is available for the same price through Kitchenaid but will be an original and authentic product, NOT a lesser-quality version like what's available through Sam's. I learned this from buying a Shark robot vacuum. I won't be buying appliances through Sam's ever again, only manufacturer websites.

Very disappointed

This is an absolute failure - the mixing blades do not reach the bottom, and you have to stop it many times to make sure butter does not stay on the bottom. Defeats the purpose altogether. The way it goes down, you can not stick in spatula, have to remove the bowl... I wish I could return it. I had a basic model with a tilted head and a smaller bowl for almost 15 years and that was many times better than this one. The mixer does not feel sturdy and solid either. Would not recommend to anyone! Not sure how anyone can be happy with it...

compact and powerful

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) My previous KitchenAid stand mixer finally gave out after 18 years of heavy, loyal use. The repair cost was quite high, so after being without a mixer for about a month (and really missing it), I decided it was time for a new one. I chose this model because it’s compact yet powerful. It handles bread dough differently—in the best way—and I’m very happy with the results. I’ve also made meringue‑based cakes, cream‑cheese cakes, and even ramen noodles using the KitchenAid attachments. Everything works flawlessly

I expect better from Kitchen Aid

Bought this on sale at Sams club. Attached flat beater on our new kitchen aid stand mixer and the point rubs against the bowl. The troubleshooting directions show an adjustment screw that is supposed to raise the shaft to clear the bottom of the bowl but turning the screw has no affect on the height. Looks like a general flaw in the engineering of the device so I don't think swapping it out will resolve this malfunction. Returning to Sams club, color me dissapointed.

Great Mixer!

My husband surprised me with the black one several months ago. I use it all the time! My chocolate chip cookie dough is very thick, and my old mixer wore out because of it. This KitchenAid is unphased by it! The lowest setting appears to adjust to the contents, which is so helpful. I love the matte black color, the large size of the bigger bowl, and the fact that the smaller bowl comes with a stainless (dishwasher safe) attachment! I also have to mention the small gap between the paddle attachment and the inner edge of the larger bowl. If I don't have enough substance in the bowl, dinner of our gets stuck on the inner walls and doesn't get fully incorporated. I'm assuming I should be using the smaller bowl in those cases. Other than that learning aspect, it's a perfect machine! It even has a cord of generous length! Just treat yourself and buy one. You've earned it by all the time spent in the kitchen already ;)

KitchenAid mixer

I was so happy to receive the KitchenAid mixer for my birthday, but upon unboxing the mixer, I noticed that the lifting arm was not working. My son and husband looked at the mixer and noticed that the arm was not connected to the inside lifting mechanism. This connection is put together by a cheap e-clip. Since we were needing to use this mixer immediately we decided not to return the mixer. My husband and son tore into it and was able to finally get it fixed.

Just OK

The colors are not true to color so beware when choosing the one you want to match your kitchen. For example, the "light blue" color shows more of a mint green which is what I was hoping for. Instead, it is a baby blue color and much like the blue color choice for the first blue swatch. I replaced my 25 year old Artisan Kitchen Aide Mixer with this one....I miss my Artisan. This has no option to raise or lower the arm housing, which makes cleaning so much easier. The speeds have a delay and the bowls are much smaller than that of the Artisan. This one does not come with a splash guard lid (sold separately) so be careful at higher speeds. All in all a good mixer but not great.

Great for breads and everyday baking

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this not long ago and it’s an amazing machine. It’s mixing power it’s smooth and handles different kinds of doughs without overheating. I have been using it to make breads and spreads. The machine is stable while on the highest setting.. doesn’t dance around on the counter. The size of the bowl, handles small and large batches, overal I would recommend this machine for those that often bake at home.

14 months and it's dead

Avoid! Seriously! Run! It's a $300 paperweight taking up a huge chunk of space in my cabinet. I purchased this stand mixer last time it was on sale. It lasted only 14 months, used maybe 20 times, and the motor is toast. I took it out to whip some cream for a cake, and it began screeching and squealing as the motor began to burn up so I turned it off and finished the cream by hand. The KitchenAid website is USELESS. I contacted customer service by email and by phone and there was no resolution as it was just out of the one-year factory warranty. I expected far more out if this product, and I am sure that anyone else would expect more too. I will never, ever purchase another KitchenAid product of ANY kind EVER again!

Love the mixer, hate that flat beater is chipping.

Love this mixer. Bought in 2019 from Sam's. My flat beater is chipping or rating would be 5 stars. Anyone know where I can buy replacement flat beater? I've ordered a couple from Amazon but either too heavy or too wobbly. Wish I could find replacement beater on KitchenAid site but I can't.
