Awful. We got it to replace a 20 yr old S&F. This mattress is a work of pure evil. Underneath you is some sort of material that resembles a thin wool blanket. It will keep you very hot. I've tried sleeping on it for 3 nights, I got 3hrs one night and 2 x 5hrs before being woken by furnace like temperatures. How much of that was REM God only knows. If you like to control your body temp and 'security' by way of your own blankets, seriously look elsewhere. You'll likely find that you'll need to pitch your blankets off which in turn will leave that part of your body getting gradually colder. Their sales documentation states that the mattress takes heat away from the sleeper, that's a lie and false advertising.

I recently purchased my very first Stearns & Foster Estate Queen Medium mattress, and topped it off with 2 S&F Lux Estate Queen pillows, and can I say I am sleeping so much better than I have in a very long time. On top of poor sleep, I was experiencing lower back pain, but I haven't had any since sleeping on my new S&F mattress. The quality, workmanship and comfort of the mattress is far better than any I have purchased over the years. I would say Stearns & Foster is the Rolls Royce of mattresses!

Delivery and setup was flawless and took no time at all. I've never had a pillow top mattress before and so happy I got to try this one. Over that last couple of years I've suffered from back pain. Only after 2 nights of sleeping on this mattress my back pain has mostly disappeared. For a firm mattress, it isn't stiff and uncomfortable like a lot of other firm mattresses that I've had in the past. It is a little taller than any mattress I've ever had but not a problem for me. Overall I think if you are a larger person and want a mattress that will give you support but also comfort for your hips and shoulders, you'll want to try this estate firm pillow top mattress.

This Estate mattress has a 12" wide strip across where there is a giant indent, it's especially bad smack in the center of the bed. I couldn't figure out why my back was hurting. I would wake up in the morning completely bent over and not be able to straighten out for a couple of hours. I finally figured out that it's the mattress, It has huge indents where there is no support! After taking all the sheets off and pushing on the different areas of the mattress, I noticed his stripe across the entire mattress which is almost like it's been folded there and the springs have separated. Basically, what happens is your body parked in that area will completely sink in and become deformed to the rest of your body. So that was what was happening to me. I had the worst back pain after buying this mattress for about 2 years. I just figured out The source of my back pain and it's the bed. It's so unfortunate: this was supposed to be a gift to myself and it's been a lemon. I literally sleep better on my couch. And wake up without pain! I

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am glad this is a soft mattress. I cannot fathom sleeping on anything BUT soft mattresses. Form or medium are just too rough on my back and not good for posture. Definitely different than the mattress in a box that I am used to getting. Set up was a bit tricky. Especially because I wasn't expecting it to stand so high off the floor! It's very thick. very thick. Makes it a bit more difficult to get in and out. But overall that's the biggest complaint I have. It's a nice mattress and I'm confident it will last me for years and years .

We purchased a Sterns & Foster, Brenda Creek, Estate several years ago. Cost was expensive, not permitted to give the cost in this review. The mattress has (2) dents where we sleep. The center between us is 2" higher than where we sleep. Very disappointed, and surely will not recommend Sterns and Foster to anyone. The salesman was not honest with us.

I am 62 and bought the Estate Collection Firm Pillow Top mattress with adjustable frame 127 days ago. My old mattress was soft and caused back and hip pain so I opted for the mattress with the firm topper. I am a back and side sleeper. Although the mattress initially felt comfortable and luxurious it started agitating my back and hips and I feel pain within 10 minutes of getting up in the morning that lasts all day. Unfortunately, I cannot return the mattress (trial period expired) and it was a very expensive purchase for me. I'm considering buying a Tempur-Pedic topper to see if that gives my back and hips some relief. I wish I had purchased a mattress with a medium topper instead. The medium one may have given me that hotel level luxury sleep I was striving for.

I have chronic pain. My new bed has helped greatly. I can more easily get comfortable when trying to fall asleep. Before I got this bed, morning was especially painful because my muscles were always stiff and it took some time to work out the tightness. Now this is less of an issue. I am very happy with my purchase.

I recently bought a Sterns & Foster Estate Mattress from a major retailer. The first week we had the Mattress we were very happy since it replaced a 23 year old Mattress. At the end of week two we began to see a small sag in the middle of the mattress and it generally got worse over the next ten days. Now mind you myself and my wife weigh a combined 300 pounds so we know it was not a weight issue. Beginning of the fourth week we went back to the retailer with several pictures of the sagging which was now visible by the naked eye. After some haggling with them whether we were using our discomfort reselect we selected a different brand mattress. By our own measurements this mattress developed a 2 1/4 sag within one month of purchasing it from the retailer. I am very surprised this happen with a great American Company which has been around for 150 years. I have numerous photos which I wish I could post to show this obvious manufacturing defect.
