Returning to Vizio

Perfect TV for above our fireplace. We bought a refurbished Vizio over 15 years ago and never had trouble with it, so decided to purchase another Vizio. We had also purchased a Sony TV which needed a new mother board the day before its warranty expired. So far, we are very happy with this Vizio smart TV. The TV was supposed to arrive on a Wednesday but got delayed a day. Sam's kept me up-to-date via email on the transit. It arrived via FedEx in perfect condition.

Our TV went out after 2 years, so we needed a TV fast, but we needed a TV that fit our Xbox life style too. Most people told us to get 120refresh, this only had 60 refresh rate, but a different setting that works/ talks to the gaming systems and our fire stick. We are very impressed with this, easy to control and follow menus. It also has a voice active remote/tv if you want it and you can use your phone as a remote too. Lots of features, use the Q code to see all the options.

Good but inconvenient operation

This smart Vizio has many good features. It's our first smart TV since we don't have wi-fi available in our rural, although not remote location. We are enjoying streaming through the TV when the reception of our phone hotspots are good. We don't like the remote control functions. There is no keypad, and you have to go to an onscreen keypad, enter the channel number, and hit ok. Cumbersome. Setup was difficult without highspeed wi-fi, and had to go through the settings to connect to our hotspots. You also have to go through these three steps to get show information. And then it only gives you the title of the current channel. Our last TV showed info with one button on the remote, and would tell you the next show. We haven't figured out how to get this kind of info on this Vizio. But for the price, it's a great value. The sound and picture are fine.

Nice tv overshadowed by illogical privacy infringement requirements in order for the device to function. Extreme overreach of forced data collection. In essence this tv maker forces customer to agree to have all content they watch - be collected, analyzed and used for whatever purpose ‘they' desire. No Thank You!

Choose a brand without so many glitches

Nice size for the price but not the best quality. The remote works most of the time and I've had to unplug the TV to re-link the remote. Just removing the remote batteries does not do the trick.The TV menu doesn't offer a "continue watching" section so you have to start the search all over again for a program that you start and don't finish.
