This product is great when it works. My first blades were fine, then I purchased a pack of replacement blades…totally different experience. The first one broke one of 4 hinges immediately. I thought I had accidentally mishandled it. I used it as best as I could but of course while taking the comb guide off the hinge on the opposite side broke. I made a point of being overly gentle with the second blade in the pack. 3 of 4 hinges broke almost immediately. Reading a 1 star review like this you’d wonder about the writer and if he’s just too dumb to use the product properly, but my voice is just one of many who experienced these expensive product failures. Surely Philips could make these better; I feel like they were de-contented to fail while they still had useful life but Philips went too far and made the consumables too fragile to be of any use whatsoever. The cost of these flimsy units is too high to chance buying another pack of blades and having them fail in the same way. Shame on you Philips, your customers deserve better.

I like how the blade cuts as I usually shave my head once or twice a week which means that blade should last up to 4 months but I am lucky to get one month out of it before the blade turns green meaning it needs replaced. It also starts to pull and does not cut well after 5 or 6 cuts. Therefore the cost of replacements can get expensive as you need to reorder every couple months since they don't last long. Just beware they do not last remotely close to 4 months as suggested.

I took some time to read other reviews since this OneBlade is much less costly than the popular expensive brands. I’ve used it now for about a month, and I must agree that it’s working very well for what I need. I do still have options, but this product is especially perfect for camping.

The OneBlade is a well-engineered shaver....except for its environmental friendliness. The shaver charges via a custom charger that has e-waste written all over it (micro USB anyone?), and apparently you can only buy replacement blades in single containers? (also, these are pretty pricey. That's something else that could be improved on in a multi-pack) To Philips: please offer these in 3 or 5 packs! 3 packs would actually be quite nice, considering 3 x 4 months = one year

This 3-pk of replacement blades is nearly as simple as it gets. I have already been using the Philips OneBlade for a while and received these replacement blades for free in exchange for this honest review. I regularly remove the blade on my OneBlade to clean some of the small hair that can tend to be stuck behind it. Installing one of these replacement blades is the exact same as reinstalling the original. Nothing new to fiddle with here. My old blade was doing just fine for trimming and truth be told I never really even considered needing to replace it. After installing one of these replacement blades, I had mixed feelings. The new blade seemed to cut through the hair with a little more ease, but it was not by much and it very well could have been the placebo effect going on making me think it was doing better because I knew it was a new one. It definitely was not as remarkable a difference as I would have expected. These replacement blades have a wear indicator strip on them that I am guessing when it completely fades away is when I am supposed to replace it, however, as I mentioned before, I was still using the original blade without any issues. I have not been using one of the new blades long enough for the wear indicator to start deteriorating, but I am thinking that it will tell me to replace the blade far sooner than I will feel is necessary. That makes me think about two things: First, unnecessary waste, and second, Phillips trying to make another buck, by having everyone replace their blades sooner than necessary. The OneBlade razors are not like a typical shaving razor that is getting nicks in the blade as easily and risk cutting your face. In addition, if you are using a trimmer head as opposed to straight on the face, if there were any slight nicks on the blade you do not risk any chance of cutting your face since the blades are not actually touching you. Granted you would have a decreased quality of cut though. Overall, I think the blades are exactly what they are advertised as, replacement blades. I would not expect any more or less than what you are currently experiencing with the original blade that came with the OneBlade set.

At first I was happy with the OneBlade, but the expensive blade broke in a 2 inch fall at my sink. When I went to replace it, website was out of stock. Really?? Come on, folks.
