Does Not Even Deserve 1 Star

The biggest problem with this printer is the ink. I've never needed to replace ink cartridges after so little use. I doubt we get 100 pages from a single black cartridge. And I think it uses a little of the color each time you print. We almost never print color and yet they run out almost as often the black ink. The worst part is that you can't print in black and white if the color cartridges are empty. I called and they said that's how it works. I've never heard of something so stupid. It's how they can make money on a cheap printer. They rip you of on the ink. I tried using non-Epson ink and it worked for a little then said it didn't recognize the cartridges. They do everything to take advantage of you. It would have been cheaper in the long run to get a printer that uses toner. I will never buy an Epson product again.

Don't waist your hard-earned money.

The printer worked for 6 weeks. After replacing the ink cartridges, the printer would shoot out blank pages (yes, I used Epson cartridges). I did everything Epson techs told me to do but nothing fixed the problem. The language barrier was tough enough but when she asked where I purchased it from and I said Sams Club, she said, "We don't sell our printers in that store." Then they wanted me to put a CC on file in order to warranty it and that I'd also have to pay for shipping (though it would be refunded to me via a gift card to Epson). Basically, I told her to get bent. I went back to Sams and in 2 minutes I was free of this boat anchor. What good is the warranty if they make it so difficult to use?

I do not recommend it

This printer is very disappointing. The ink runs out quickly, and the worst part is that once it detects low ink, it completely stops working—you can't print in black or even make copies. It's frustrating and impractical. If you're looking for a reliable and efficient printer, this is not the best choice.

Disappointing

I have had an Epson wf-3520 for about 10 years and really loved it. I saw the wf-2930 on sale and it was more compact, so I figured it was time for an "upgrade." This is the most horrible printer I've ever had. You always have to keep it full of all color ink to print. Tech support informed me that it uses a little bit of color ink even for black and white/grayscale, so even if you replace black alone it does nothing for you. You would still need to buy the individual color inks which is absolutely ridiculous. There is only one paper feed location which is in the back. That as well is very inconvenient. Scan for some reason will not recognize and of my devices, but I did it from my mac directly it finds the scanner just fine. Would not recommend. Save your money. I'm SO SORRY I wasted my money on this printer, luckily it was only $60.

Pure Junk

I have owned several Epson printers over the years. I purchased this printer from Sam's club last year and regret it. It has given me problems since the day I installed it. It is so flimsy, and it has trouble completing simple tasks. Also, the small screen used to operate is not user-friendly. I do not recommend it!

Epson Printers are NOT what they used to be

Junk! What happened to Epson?? I had an Epson printer for almost 15 years and made the mistake thinking they would be just as good now. Purchased this one at Sam's Club. In less than 30 days, and very little printing, I was out of black ink. Also, this maintenance box....what a scam that is!! It was also at capacity and apparently those need to be replaced as well. Ridiculous. Feeling this was a use/return/resell because it was had already been registered in Dec. 2023, which I brought to Epson's attention, I returned it for one IN the store - not shipped. This one is no better. How can a printer go through ink so quickly and fill up whatever this maintenance box is in so few copies? Since I had already purchased ink when I had the first printer, I will use what I have and this one will go back too. Time to research better, more reliable, printers. As a home use printer for one person, this printer is not acceptable. Do NOT recommend.

Terrible

This machine has wasted hours of my time. Setup was a pain. I still can't seem to operate it from my computer. After about 4 or 5 cleaning cycles, it is still not printing properly AND it is already showing low ink. The cartridges are so light, they seem empty- I can't imagine there is more than a teaspoon of ink in them. I am returning this asap. The pathetic amount they put in them is a SCAM!!

Don't take the inexpensive price bait like I did!

I bought this printer as it was cheaper to buy a new printer than getting HP Inkjet cartridges by almost $53 & I initially thought "Hey, I beat the system & got an entire printer WITH INK!" Whoops! The cartridges that came with this printer were standard capacity only & the color ink are standard size only. This printer may as well be a V8 engine: IT'S INK HUNGRY!!!! You will be constantly buying ink & the fun part is the printer will not allow you to be low on color ink to print black pages only! The constant software updates are a pain in the butt as you get used to saying no to them quite often. Not too big a deal, but it is annoying. Bottom line: This printer costs more to use vs an HP OfficeJet printer as the ink in the HP goes way further than the Epson WS-2930. Don't make my mistake by seeing the cheap store price tag as this printer is EXTREMELY INK HUNGRY!!!!

Spend the extra money

I had my previous Epson for years and was always happy with it. This printer is awful. Everytime I print something, the page is blank and I have to run the cleaning in the maintenance menu in settings. Support told me regular cleaning is necessary. It's so frustrating! I will continue to argue with support to get something as it's still under warranty.

Do not buy this printer -- Epson does not offer

Epson offers almost no support. This couldn't be further from plug and play if they tried. Have gone through the set up screen 4 or 5 times, and every time I turn it on, it asks me to go through it AGAIN. Takes 20-30 minutes to reach someone on the phone, and they provide no support. Can't get past the set up screens. HP is MUCH better and easier to set up (and they provide actual support when you call). This is going back.
