It's taller than other mattresses so my fitted sheet wants to ride up and pop off so I'm constantly readjusting that. That's been an unfortunate problem. I like how supportive it is, yet has a nice soft pillow top. It doesn't have that factory smell which is so nice. Makes me think the materials used are higher quality.

I am a stomach and side sleeper and found this to be extremely difficult sleep on as is. I woke up in pain the first night and unable to fall back asleep. This bed is just too hard for myself to sleep on. My husband however, didn't mind the firmness. My hope is that the bed will "loosen a bit" over time. In the meantime, I now have a mattress topper and am enjoying the bed finally. I do like that the bed is higher now. I am 5'7" and just fit comfortably. Ultra firm is not for everyone and I'm sure a select few would benefit from this stiff mattress.

This is exactly what I needed for my back and shoulder pain, it's very firm and keeps your posture well positioned. You feel recharged, relaxed and ready to work next day. A good sleep is very important for everyone and this mattress is definitely worth all the money spent on it. You can never go wrong with this mattress. We got the queen-size Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop mattress and we couldn't be happier. We were previously sleeping on a queen size sleeper sofa mattress, and if anyone knows anything about those mattresses, they are very thin and you can feel the bars from the sofa bed frame all night. My partner of 20 years is disabled, and he lays down most of the day, therefore, we just keep the sofa sleeper bed out all day every day and never fold it back into the sofa. When I was offered this free sample, I was more than delighted! We are BOTH sufferers of degenerative arthritis, and he has had multiple work injuries which eventually disabled him. Our previous mattress only made matters worse for both of us. He has insomnia and was up and down all night long with aches and pains. Now I am pleased to say that we are finally getting a good night's sleep! I haven't seen him sleep this good for so long! As for me, I am sleeping way better also, and for longer amounts of time than I previously was. I seriously do not want to get out of this bed! Our aches and pains are getting better by the day, not totally gone of course, but more tolerable. The cooling feature of this mattress is the BOMB as I am going through hot flashes! And we cannot even feel each other get out of bed anymore because of the motion sense feature, so less wakening. I cannot thank both companies enough, and I would HIGHLY recommend a Stearns and Foster mattress for a great night's sleep! We will never go with any other brand from here on out!

I suffer with low back pain, but even after 1 sleep on this matress, I could move better & think clearer because I slept so good! When I read about this mattress having a cooling technology, I really didn't believe it, until I slept on it. I did not get overheated during the night, which was amazing because we leave out thermostat a little warmed than the downstatirs, so it was a win for me! The mattress is firm and supportive for your body, but the pillowtop adds a comfy layer so when you climb into bed you are surrounded with comfort. I will say this mattress is very thick and heavy. It's a bit hard to change the sheets because it's so heavy to lift and tuck the sheet under. We are using it on a platform bed so there is no need for a box spring. I sank right in, but the rest of the mattress is thick and firm enough that I still get the suport I need for my back. I knew I was going to like this mattress, I didn't know it was going to change my sleep as much as it did; snuggles the insomnia away.

The soft pillowtop is like sleeping on a cloud! I feel totally supported as I sleep. I also don't sink into the mattress. This is important, because you don't want to have trouble getting out of bed! The mattress is also cool - I never feel hot during the night time. I have always bought higher end mattresses, so I am not comparing this mattress to a cheaper mattress under $1000. If you want to invest in pure comfort, this is a fantastic option! I would recommend to anyone who needed a softer bed.
