We bought a firm mattress about three years ago and it was terribly firm. Too firm on our backs. We thought we would just get accustomed to it but it didn’t get any better so we decided to go to another store and see if we could just get another less firm mattress. Yes, we should have gone back to the original store (2 hours away) and see what could be done as far as an exchange or such but being busy retired people, we just didn’t do that. Having gone to a local store here, we were greeted by a very helpful salesman who guided us in purchasing a new mattress top. We received the mattress yesterday and slept on it last night. We noticed a great change in comfort for us. I would definitely select the Stearns and Foster brand and make sure to try them out.

I wish I knew how heavy this mattress was going to be, we have a difficult time tucking in the sheets and blanket. Our old mattress did not sag in the middle, I have to work myself to the side with this one. I also wake up in the middle of the night now since we bought this mattress with pain in my hands, I've tried changing pillows but it doesn't make a difference. Turning the mattress is a real chore. I did not read reviews before buying.

We were very pleased with the quality and appearance of this product. The mattress appears to be of a high quality and it is very comfortable. My husband’s back feels so much better since we started sleeping on the new mattress. Love the design and feel of the materials.

We purchased a King-size Stearns & Foster Estate Collection mattress (medium firmness) last year, and unfortunately, it has been a major disappointment. We sink in much more than expected and can actually feel the steel coils through the mattress, which makes it very uncomfortable to sleep on. This is the worst mattress we have ever owned, and we would not recommend it.

We've had this mattress for only ten days but we've had better sleep every night than we had in the last ten weeks with our old mattress. Bravo, S & F! As senior citizens, we have our share of aches and pains, but this mattress calms them all. You've truly made a mattress that supports our lives!

This was my first real grown-up bed purchase and after ~40 days I'm very happy with it. I was a little nervous as it was incredibly firm when it arrived. However, after breaking it in for a few weeks it's much better. Regardless, even when it was firmer then I anticipated I still slept so much better then my old bed. I sleep much deeper with this mattress and feel more rested which has made need to sleep fewer hours. This is an expensive mattress but so far it's worth it. My only complaint is that one of the handles tore the first day I got it.

Overall I find this mattress to be great quality. My only complaint after about a month is that I'm still feeling pressure points while sleeping on my back in the coccyx area. Yes, I roll on my side for relief so maybe I'm expecting too much. I am currently giving it 4 stars only because of what I mentioned. Once it's broken in maybe my opinion will change.

I used to own Sterns and Foster mattresses years ago, and we moved down south. Bought some Sealy's for our bedrooms. Big mistake. I literally threw out our Sealy's and ordered the Sterns and foster. What a difference a great mattress makes. (and by the way, my Sealy's cost me a bundle anyway). Bravo S&F!

I’d like to share a review of my new mattress the Stern and Foster ESTATE FIRM EPT. First, I’d like to give you a little background on why I selected this mattress. My husband and I were out mattress shopping because the mattress that was in our home was affected by the Eaton fire In January 2025 and had soot and an odor of smoke. We needed to replace it, which we were ok with that, because even though we had recently purchased that mattress in a 2021 and it wasn’t that old, it had already developed a slope and was not really that comfortable. Actually after it was delivered brand new’ it wasn’t that comfortable. So we were extremely happy to get a new mattress! We went to the local Sit And Sleep and tried, I’d say at least 15 different types, and kind of mattresses in our price range. We spent over two hours in the store trying to find the perfect mattress. I then remembered the story my best friend shared with me a couple months prior to us going shopping, that she had owned her Sterns and foster mattress for over 25 years and she was still so satisfied with her SF mattress! That speaks volumes on the quality, durability and how well made your mattresses are. She loves her mattress. She has the abilities to replace it, but she does not want to because she is very comfortable with it, but here’s the best part of the story. My best friend has gone through several body weight changes since she’s owned the S&F mattress, at one point she weighed over 325 pounds and now she weighs about 140 pounds. Your mattress still supports her and she’s still very happy with it! Now that’s a testimonial! We laid on this particular S& F mattress, and we fell in love with it, even though it was a little more than our budget , we purchased it and that is my testimony. From the minute it was delivered to our home till this point now three months later, we are very happy and pleased with our Purchase! It’s so comfortable and has increased our sleep time. My husband and I are experiencing restful sleep, our firm mattress is a dream! Not to sink into the mattress is great. The mattress is very firm, yet it molds to your body. I was worried that I would get indents like our old mattress but when you rise in the morning it looks as if no one has slept on the mattress! Stearns & Foster is worth every thousand spent and I will recommend it to friends and family who are in the market for a new mattress!
