Wasn't melted and arrived on time and was soo good

This Reeses size is just right for a sweet treat. I love Reeses peanut butter cups!

I've noticed a difference in the taste/texture of my most recent purchase of this product (Oct 18, 2020). Last purchase was approximately 2-3 months ago and did not notice this consistency at that time. The newer product has more of a waxy consistency which is neither good nor bad to me personally, but it is a noticeable difference. Have there been any recent formulation/manufacturing changes to the product? I know of others who have reported noticing a difference as well.

Reese's has been my favorite candy for over 30 years. I have always kept a large stock on hand because it has always been my go to snack. What makes this unique is that I hate chocolate but love peanut butter. I always have told people that Reese's are just that good that I even enjoy the chocolate. I noticed at some point in the past couple of years something changed with either the ratio or the recipe or something with the chocolate used because no matter which I try from my original favorite standard Reese's Cup, to the King Size, Big Cup, All Seasonal Products, Thins, Minis etc. I just can't do it anymore as the chocolate flavor is overwhelming to me and ruins the experience. I have since discovered the White Creme Reese's as an alternative but begrudgingly so. I miss my favorite candy and cant begin to explain how incredibly disappointing it has been to me to stop purchasing it after so many years of it being my favorite.

Reeses Peanut Butter Cups are probably my most favorite candy. But I have to agree with some other reviewers here about quality problems. It's almost common knowledge now to never buy regular Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, and ONLY buy the seasonal ones, because the regular variety are usually stale and...not good. And these regular ones are not past the printed date either -- the ones sold in LS MO right now are dated as late as mid 2024 (1 year out) but are still stale and taste horrible. The difference is astounding. Literally I go from favorite candy of all time to throw it in the trash without even eating it. Reeses has problems.

Lately every time I buy Reeses they either have crappy white film on the chocolate or white stale peanut butter. This used to happen when they were close to expiration date but now they can be several months from expiration and you still get this. Reeses pumpkins I just bought are even like this. Not sure what happened to quality control or maybe you changed recipes but I am about to stop buying them.

The chocolate on the outside has their classic creamy smooth taste while the peanut butter inside just melts-in-your-mouth. It is hard to stop yourself from just eating one. Do not waste time and go get yourself these wonderful treats before they are gone!

So now, not only does the chocolate taste poorly, the center is like a hardened powder. Never buying these again which is truly a shame as they were always my favorite. Also, you can change the image on the wrapper, it does NOT look like that anymore.
