Firm as labeled. For the first time in 4 years my back doesn't hurt. Is firmer than the previous mattress we recently bought that has been creating nothing but back pain.

We purchased two xl twins to make a king. As these can be on an articulating frame we wanted the split option for the future. This bed is very firm as the first impression, so not an 'ahhh that's nice' first impression, but we have both slept better and more restful sleep with these. We both have back issues and these mattresses have definitely been an improvement over our previous too old with a thick foam topper king. And there was no smell at unboxing.

Great mattress so far. Very firm and comfortable. My lower back pain is gone!

This mattress is not for everyone. If you aren't used to having a quality mattress, I would not recommend it. The rubber coils are weird. We tried giving this mattress to our 2 and 4 year old kids and they didn't even like it. Even on sale, it's not worth it.

This mattress has been extremely comfortable from the first night. Set- up was very easy. I would strongly recommend this mattress.

Had a different mattress before I purchased this this one and it was way too soft. This one just the right amount of firmness and no more back pain.
