Delta mini delivers

Upon arrival I updated the firmware, charged and proceeded to power my refrigerator for 10 hours. I hooked up a solar panel and the unit was outputting while receiving an input which is nice. While I had proceeded to consider a DIY approach with LiFepo4 batteries, the sale price of the delta mini sold me. For an occasional power outage or camping trip, it serves the purpose beautifully.

Awesome product. I own 3 of these. I use them when we have power outages, and they work very well. I power nightlights, washer, televisions, a hot plate, microwave etc., and use one of these to recharge the other two units, then connect the one charging to solar panels after use. I love it!

Excellent Blackout Protection

This has proved an excellent supplement to the basic UPS systems I have set up for my gaming rig and a home server. At their full load, the Delta Mini can sustain them for 15+ hours. An important note to this use case: the Delta Mini is just a battery. It does not provide instant trip-over, and it does not provide surge protection for downstream equipment. I rely on my basic APC UPS systems for these functions. The Delta Mini is plugged into the wall, and the two UPS boxes into the Mini. Then the equipment into the UPS boxes. One other note: I've found out the hard way that this unit cannot charge the battery if it is excessively cold. I initially put the unit on a very cold hardwood floor, and the battery ran flat because it could not be recharged. Moving the unit up onto my desk has resolved the problem.

Very functional unit.

The Delta Mini seems to be a very well thought out, and hence, a very functional and well built unit. It has many capabilities and possibilities. In my case it is replacing a controller, inverter, and battery that powers my off-grid shed better than the items it is replacing. The only downside is the lack of a well-written manual that better explains some wifi, blueray, grounding and settings related questions that I had. I called customer service to talk techie talk, but all I got was an overseas rep, hard to understand, that offered to have a techie call me back in a day or two. I barely put any load on the unit, but it seems to be accepting and .regulating input from my solar panel very nicely. In my pre-purchase research I realized I had to order a few yellow connectors to solder to my bare ended wires to plug into the mini. This went okay, but it would have been nice if one or two would have been provided by Eco. A week after I received delivery the big box store that sold it to me put it on sale for $50 less. They did give me post-purchase credit, but only through their online operation, and not through the store, since I purchased it from their website. Altogether, I am very happy with the unit. It can put out power at a much higher rate than the afore-mentioned panel, controller, inverter, battery method that I had previously used.

Fast house charge

Seems to be fine except solar charging that appears to be a bit slow, I was using a 60 solar panel that was Ecoflow brand. I used 100 that was another brand neither solar panel at 92 degrees and full sun changed but a few number changes in the charge. The Ecoflow charges from house current fast, only took 2 1/2 hours from 39% to 100%. I am sure I will need to purchase more solar panels to see a difference in solar panel charging.

you tube reviews doesn't reflect true experience

they are not BBB accredited. after glorious review from you tube, I purchase 2 delta. after 2 weeks one of my delta was indicting issue with the unit. contact tech support and was told to upgrade firmware, i did and the delta stop working. the 2nd delta continue to perform. call tech support and this is when ecoflow shows their incompetence. Ecoflow has their tech in asia (philippines). 1st tech argue instead of helping, so i ask for supervisor, refuse but said she will escalate the issue. I received a email from tech support (united states) issuing a case number and a shipping package. I ship package and respond to email on date and time delivered. I track package and notice that a special request was issue to hold package at fedex facility. call fedex and ecoflow. fedex has no knowledge. ecoflow does not know who i am, the case number i gave does not exist. I had to stay away for 2 days, because i might say something and then have no communication with ecoflow. this time i spoke with robert, and he found case number and told me they received the unit and is being repaired. He inform me to call back in 3 to 5 day if didn't received an email of repair status.Next day, received an email that my case was close due to lack of communication. call ecoflow, they inform me no worrys things are find.? I ask to speak to a state side personnel, refuse to transfer, ask for a supervisor again refuse but will escalate issue. why i ask for stateside tech, is because at this time i realized that there is no commination from tech support and repair facility and that my unit maybe repaired already. since i am on waiting for response, i responded to the email, explaining my issue. that evening i received a call from a supervisor and she said she will take care of my case and inform daily. she will call me tomorrow about my case. next day i received an email apologizing that they didn't respond earlier. my unit was fix and was ship out 2 days ago and here is the expected delivery date. No supervisor call. yes it is all good now but she still should have call and inform me because that is customer service. i received the unit it works but it's a lemon, struggle to perform with heavy load. not returning because i don't want to deal with tech support. my other delta handles the heavy load.
