Significant design flaws

I purchase this as a replacement to the everyday day pan I use to cook meals for my family and really wanted to like this pan. It’s the right size for my family, the non-stick is fantastic and it looks sharp. Unfortunately, the lid design, while stylish, creates so many problems, I only use this pan when in a pinch and had to buy a different pan for my everyday cooking. The lid has 3 design issues from my perspective: 1) The flat design makes it challenging to get a good seal when steaming. Since it’s not domed, if any small portion of the food sticks up beyond the rim of the pan, you can’t put the lid on. For example, I was cooking broccoli and wanted to steam them under the lid and could t get the lid closed. I had to remove some of the food to make it fit. 2. Visibility was an issue. I didn’t realize how much I look at my cooking through a glass lid until I couldn’t anymore. 3. There are 2 small steam vents in the lid that line up with the handle. The result is that from on side of the lid, when you grab the handle, you have steam hitting your wrist. I burned myself more than once. You have to rotate the lid 180° to prevent this, but it’s a bad design and who wants a lid in the kitchen that is only safe to use from one side? Overall, the pan is good but the lid makes it barely usable. If you use your lid to cook, do yourself a favor and get something else.

Great design, heavy duty used, retro looks

As I usually got pan that’s glass cover, this pan with white cover really has the retro feel, but it is really heavy duty, my first cook was Korean short ribs, after it took a beating, all I did was 2 scrubs, this thing look clean as new. Also, everytime I cooked something with slow cook, then caramelized, the glass cover tent to collected the evaporation then water drip outside, but this one has a design with a tiny escape to let the heat out! Smart

I have been using it almost every day for almost 2 months and it has been the best pan I have ever used, Besides oils and eggs just sliding on the surface after I warmed it up for a minute on the stove top, this pan is also so easy to clean. It easy to cook with and it is so freaking easy to clean!!!!!!!!! I dare anyone to find a better pan under $80 dollars. I am still surprised I got such a good Member's Mark pan for $30.

NOT non stick!!!

This is the worst pan I've ever owned. Non stick...LOL. Everything sticks to this pan! Idk, maybe it's the ceramic, this is the first and LAST ceramic skillet I will ever own. Going back to cast iron.

Seasoning creates a temporary oil layer that supplements the ceramic coating’s non-stick properties: 1) Wash the new cookware with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly to remove manufacturing residues. 2) Dry completely with a soft cloth. 3) Apply a thin layer of high-smoke-point oil (e.g., avocado oil, canola oil) to the interior surface using a paper towel. 4) Heat the cookware over medium-low heat for 2–3 minutes (avoid high heat, which can damage the ceramic). 5) Turn off the heat and let it cool completely. 6) Wipe off excess oil with a clean paper towel. It’s light it’s big I like that it has a vent but you can only cook with it on low to medium heat also you can’t use pan spray or it will stain the other con would be that it leaves finger prints & I hand washed it but the water on the lid leave water marks that won’t come off so make sure you dry it after you wash it ..

Thank you for following the care directions, Deby. The small holes on the iron base plate of the cookware expose the aluminum bottom of the pot to the air. As a result, the exposed aluminum can oxidize and become discolored over time, especially at high temperatures. However, we have a helpful tip for cleaning the oxidized aluminum. Create a paste by mixing baking soda with water. Apply the paste to the oxidized aluminum surface and let it sit for a while. Then, using a damp cloth, gently wipe the surface before rinsing with clean water.
