Unfortunately, I had to reapply right before leaving the house because my armpits felt a little sweaty. I tend to sweat especially when I'm wearing long sleeve shirts or jackets. After reapplying, I did notice that it kept me covered the rest of the day. The smell isn't anything unique; it's very similar to any other Dove products and reminds me of baby powder.
