The reason I use this product is to keep that dull film from forming on my eating utensils. It does a great job and they come out looking like new even though some are over 50 years old. It also performs the same function with the drinking glasses. I hope it has good shelf life as my wife and I were shopping at different stores and we both bought some... One bottle lasts us well over a year. Our dishwasher dispenses it over several washes and sends WIFI message when more rinse aid is needed every few weeks. The Sam's Club price is competitive but not the lowest price available.

I use this but I wonder if the more expensive dish detergents might also have this capability.
