I LOVE MY NEW HP! Made mistake of buying a Chromebook, then quickly came back "home" to HP and Microsoft and Outlook. Chromebook only good for social networking, NOT emails, writing, etc. HP ALL THE WAY!

It had been several years since having a new laptop. Then the struggle was the proprietary hardware now it's a continual onslaught of ads and "buy this now" popups which I've found no way to block. This is not an issue with Sam's Club but with what HP allows to be installed on their new systems or junk buried in the programs. The frustration with Sam's Club is that there was no one available to answer questions prior to purchase. We even tried the "get some help now" app! Then at the cash register, the associate could not find the laptop which gave us the only option of ordering it online. Even though the process was successful, I did have worries that the laptop would be stolen at some point in transit.

This laptop is so much better than my old one. I had a Windows 8 laptop which will soon no longer be supported. So I decided to try this one as the reviews were good and I wanted a larger screen. It starts in seconds and shuts down in seconds. Everything I access comes up quickly. The screen display is awesome. So far it has been pretty easy to navigate from 8 to 11. Microsoft has also sent me emails with help and tips. The reasons I didn't rate it 5 stars are I don't like the silver keys as they are very hard to read. I had to count where the start button is as I can't see it unless there is a light on in the room. The backlight doesn't really help with that. Also the keys are very slippery which makes it hard to type. It comes with an offer for 2 years of Care Pack which has been impossible to figure out how to activate. So I haven't been able to take advantage of that. I also wish they gave you an option to purchase with Microsoft office already installed. Hassle to do that.

Laptop has delivered as expected. Getting unit set up was easy & straightforward. Getting used to keypad layout & power button. Like the large monitor. Laptop speed & responsiveness is very good.

I have always used HP products from desktops, laptops and printers. I have to say that I am very disappointed in the performance of this one. I have had it less than two months and it is cutting off when I am the middle of working on documents or something social. It cuts off and then after about 5 minuteIs I can turn it on and I am able to continue what I am doing if the system remembers the work I have done. The error message I get is that one of the cooling fans is not working. I really can't get much help from the HP support as everything has to be through IM. Other than this issue I have no problems. I have a brand new tank printer I want to set pup but not to this laptop

Just bought this for photo editing on impulse. It very slow even with small files and I will be returning it. I should have done a little research before I bought it. This is an older 11gen model, you can at many places get this at the same price or a little less on the 12gen model. This is a solid $475 laptop not a $849 one.

The laptop is pretty good. Does what I need it to do. But it says it comes with a 2 year warranty but I have not received anything about a warranty which is concerning.
