The formula is obviously different as this is called “Max efficiency” indicating that it’s better than the original. I’ve never had an issue with the original. I’ve never had to soak anything. Set in stains, tough stains etc come out on the first try with the original. Saw this at Sams and it was a cheaper purchase than it would have been at Walmart. Bought it went home and washed some of my kids school clothes and it didn’t get a single thing out. What the heck?! Tried again with another load and same thing. I feel as if the manufacturers got greedy and made a worse product but claim that it does more. I’ll be sticking to the original after I use the remainder of this. Maybe if I soak the clothes it’ll do it’s job but I feel that’s a step I should have to take for minor stains. It’s inconvenient
