Excellent quality and clear instructions
I'm very satisfied with the specificity and simplicity of the instructions, the well-marked components, the flawless packaging and to-my-door delivery. It required the expected 8 hours for unpackaging and assembly by myself, but the included magnetic screwdriver helped. A second person can be helpful with specific tasks (such as flipping the table after the 1st part of assembly), but I was methodically able to construct this myself. Cost was 1/2 that of comparable products in big box stores. I'd highly recommend.
Cheap not made nice
Not very impressed after 2.5 hrs of putting it together the drawers have very hard time closing and def not very sturdy .The wood had a chip and one drawers had huge scratch on it. The drawers are the worst of it with closing and opening. After putting it together we ARE not taking it apart to return. He said hes gonna suck it up but wished he bought from home depot instead. I would pass on this. Unless if we just got bad one.. 1/10.
Nice workbench if you have 6 hours to build
Nice looking bench providing you have help and lots of time. Directions were poor and found several mistakes.Several bent/misaligned parts plagued the build. Need small hands to build bench, especially in first several steps. assembly of drawer were time consuming and tricky. Several parts in this step were bent and directions were poor. Drawers work ok, but don’t slide easily. Would recommend because of low price and functionality. Have someone mechanically inclined help.
Pleasantly Surprised
I bought one of these and 2 of the large cabinet units. This one was a real chore to put together but it is well designed and strong. This is not Industrial grade of course but better than most residential/light commercial storage units. These are from Taiwan, not China. Will buy more Seville from Sams!
Assembly tips:
Great product, some helpful assembly hints: - this is all metal to metal screw assembly. Highly recommend a threadlock product such as Loctite Threadlocker. Will help eliminate loosening. Don't aggressively over-tighten screws. - comes with a magnetic screwdriver - a must! Highly recommend a powered hand held driver with a magnetic adaptor. Don't use a high powered driver like DeWalt; too powerful and no room. - I had to take off some of the drawer slides to properly secure the unit. They will come off and back on with ease. - Assembly is easy but time consuming. You'll need another person for some of the steps.
Excellent addition to workshop
This is an excellent cabinet, heavy duty and well made. Takes some time to assemble, but instructions are good and the fit and finish is very good. It is a very high class look to a professional workshop. Buying additional wall cabinets to match. Great look
0 stars for assembly 4 for unit
The assembly took 5 hours and extreme frustration. The screws in the walls that hold the drawer gliders took the longest. They are little screws and you can't see most of the holes those 22 screws go into. Even where you can see the holes you can't get your hands in there to hold the screws, and the screws wouldn't stay on the provided screw driver, what saved my Bacon was my own screwdriver that would hold the screws straight until I got it started. But even then the screw would fall off and I had to try again about half a dozen or more times for each screw. Certainly the designer is worthy of capital punishment for such a cruel design. There's no way to hold the screws to get it started and one has to put there hand over the slider and stretch there fingers to turn the screwdriver. Once the frame is together, the drawers and other items are easy, just monotonous. There's a total of 265 screws, but the 22 that went into the sliders took longer, and were more frustrating than the other 243 screws. My suggestion is to find a Phillips head screwdriver that will hold the little screws straight for you to get them started and tightened. My problem was each time I tried and missed the hole I could not see, the screw fell off and I had to start again. And those little screws are the reason I only gave it four stars. They look very cheap, weak, small screws for the job. My grade 5 screws look of higher quality than these, and I know grade 8 is for tractors and stressful applications, but I want this to last. It looks great, but if the screws holding it together are weak, then how long will it last before it breaks apart??? So 0 stars for assembly, and 4 stars because assembled it looks great, the drawers slide and fit well. The lock may not even be good enough to keep honest people honest🤷🏻♂️ It's another weak part of the system. The work top is top notch solid wood. But if you have lots of patience, and can have 22 screws that are almost impossible to even get started fall off and restart several times and not blow your top, then I think it will be a pretty good tool cabinet, work table for you. It's about 250 lbs and took three of us to load it. But I sent my helpers home during the effort to try to attach the sliders to the back wall and front frame, because they couldn't get their hands in there or see anything and were so frustrated they weren't helping. Helpers aren't needed except for unloading and turning it over, and they weren't there for that, so I used all of the packing materials and some other foam I had and put it on the drawer side in kind of a mountain on each end and in the middle. I locked the wheels. Then I laid it over on the packing material hill I just built. Once laid over on it, I could get my hands under the side to tip it now on the side of it's wheels resting on the packing materials, then lifting with my legs I was able to lift the top setting it on all four wheels. Then I started assembly of the drawers, etc .
Looks great & a ton of storage.
Downsized to an industrial style loft & bought this for the main living area. TV fits great on it & it adds a lot of storage which I really need in a small space. Took me a little over a day to put it together & then I had to bring someone in to flip it over because it's very heavy. After getting it together I realized it really only moves side to side because only 2 of the wheels are locking. That was inconvenient so I ordered 2 more locking wheels from Seville. I changed the wheels by lifting it up with a car jack. Now I love it!
Superb value
This rolling workbench is a tremendous value. It is solidly built and also packed with ample protection to prevent damage during shipping. Assembly instructions were very clear and all parts were well labeled. It definitely took a few hours to assemble but it is well-designed and I am confident it will last a lifetime. I appreciated the extras that were included such as full rubber bumpers and drawer liners.
Assembly Nightmare
This is a nice tool chest/work station, but assembly was a nightmare. Awkward and difficult to reach location for screws, hard to align screw holes for bolts, hidden pieces tucked away in hidden compartments of the packing material. Although it's a study piece of furniture when complete, assembly is difficult in my opinion.
