Having experienced "Snowmageddon" in North Dallas a few years ago and without power backup, this new Generac whole home generator brings incredible peace of mind. It's good to know it is always there ready to take over should the power grid go down. The only reason I gave it a 4-rating is because of the delay between power failure and the generator starting. I wanted Tesla's system mainly because of its ability to take over within milliseconds of losing power unlike Generac. If power is out for more than a second, then there are several clocks that have to be reset. I've had days when the power blinked multiple times thereby requiring clock resetting each time. Very annoying. If Generac would develop a battery unit to incorporate with the generator that would bridge the gap between the grid failing and the generator taking over, then I would definitely give it a 5-star rating. That's my only complaint, and it really isn't a Generac fault since it operates as designed. I just wish the design would change a tad to eliminate the time gap.

I bought this Generic about a month ago have not had any power outages yet but generator works fine on its regular scheduled exercise times it is quiet and seems to be working just fine.

The unit works very well, and it has provided service several times when the electric grid failed. It provides us with a great feeling of safety and peace of mind.

We had a power outage about 1 month after our Generac was installed. The Generac worked perfectly the entire duration of the power outage, which was approximately one week. No problems

I cannot believe the peace of mind that this Generator has brought. I grin every time it kicks in. I've only had it a couple of months and I've had the free power outages in that period. That is why I've got this and boy am. I glad I have it.

My 18KW Generac standby generator is one of the best investments that I have ever made for my home. The unit supplies all of the emergency power needs to my home during a power outage, which occurs frequently in my neighborhood.

Everything works as planned. My install was April 2025 and I just had an event in March 2026 where the unit ran for 24 hours consecutively. No issues. And very little oil usage. My recommended installer is 5*.

A Month ago we purchased a standby generator for our second home after purchasing a Generac for our primary home four years ago. We have been completely satisfied with both Generacs! They provide great peace of mind!

My second Generac at 2 different houses and it is comforting knowing if my power goes out I have a power source to power my home. Installation was easy and sales assistant was indeed very helpful. Try it and you will be happy.

We have 1 year with the machine and we think is fantastic. Price and noise are bit high but is a good investment. We implemented a noise isolated room with air extractors and fans, and the final result is great!
