I had my 14kw generator installed in September of 2022. I wrote a glowing review a year ago when the generator flawlessly got us through a power outage over Xmas in 2022. I wanted to follow up with another review. You may have read about the big wind storm in Maine this December where 1/2 million Mainers lost power. Our power was out for 4 full days. Again, our generator performed perfectly. The temperatures dipped into the teens but we had zero discomfort. We had running water (we have a well pump), oven, electronics, etc.... I have been good about maintenance, load-testing, and daily oil checks when the generator is running but the generator has consistently delivered as promised. Again, I couldn't recommend it more.

A whole house generator seemed like an extravagance - our power does not go out that much, but with a well pump providing water - who wants to go without for even a short time. I did my research and quickly realized the generator affords the security and comfort I want, it increases the value of the home and with it being installed, ready to work all the time it is certainly added security for the family if I am traveling. Next I researched brands - I quickly found out from speaking to friends with other brands, parts, service and availability are critical. Generac seems to be marketshare leader therefore has the most available parts and service. I also learned that the Generac models are more reliable than others, so that decision was made. Finally, I chose a really good installer. A family electrical contracting business that has been around for many years who now only does generators. After electric and plumbing was done I was very happy with the finished product. Its amazing - I am actually looking forward to the first time the power goes out so I can see it in action. We have had our 24kW Guardian unit for just over one year now. We reside in Houston, TX area and are thus exposed to hurricanes, tropical storms, and even winter freezes. Each of these weather events can disrupt power, for a few hours to a few days, or more. I have an 87 year old mother-in-law that lives in a home just over a mile from us. Thus, our decision for backup power was as much for her as for ourselves. Our unit runs our entire 3,100 sq.ft. home, including a 5-ton AC, and a pool. Shock Doc Electrical in League City was referred by Generac and they did an excellent job on the installation. Worth every penny for the peace of mind!

We just had generator installed yesterday 11-2-20 by Beacon Power Systems out of Saucier, MS. Corey, Billy & Reece were the installers, they did a fantastic job with the set up. It took them 6 hours to install. On that, my neighbor had a Kohler generator installed, it took them 3 days and still had to come back because it would not work. Billy the electrician sure knew his trade. After the installation, Corey went over the operations of the generator with me, he was very thorough. This crew was very professional, and I would highly recommend them.

Had a Guardian 24kw generator installed about 1 yr ago by Ambrose Electric. Installation went very smoothly and has a very acceptable appearance. Initial oil change and service check is simple. Everything is easy to get at. We have had two short term power outages since installation and everything works pefectly. Our house is total electric and we have no problem living normally during outages. Well pump, water heater, clothes dryer and electric heat all operate normally although we do take care to limit burner/oven usage on the stove if the electric heat is in use, for example. The Generac handles it all with no strain. My one complaint is with the exercise program. It runs for only five minutes under no load. This causes moisture in the air to condense into the oil. Particularly in the winter. I spent 50 yrs as a Diesel and heavy equipment mechanic. Moisture in oil is never acceptable, despite what Generac claims. Originally set to exercise weekly I changed it to monthly and on those days I trip the main breaker to put the unit under load for 30-60 minutes. Unit is exercised and the oil stays moisture free. All-in-all an excellent unit and it is great not having to get up in the middle of a winter night, or any other time, and go hook up a portable generator.

Very pleased with my purchase. All the people at Generator Supercenter in Victoria, Texas were easy to work with, friendly, knowledgeable and did the work professionally. If you are interested in purchasing a Generac generator I would recommend calling them and have them come out and check out your needs.

Our generator worked for two years and then we received an error. After five repairs and more parts being shipped - we have requested a replacement since we no longer trust the current generator to function properly. We are working with Generac to see if they grant our request. With one denial behind us, they have agreed to review with a higher source and we are hopeful they will do the right thing by us. We will submit an update once we get to the end of this request. So far, everyone at Generac has been professional and seems to be genuinely concerned about our request. More to come.

Great experience from initial consultation to the final walk through. Very quiet when it runs through its weekly test. Very pleased with the look and appearance in property. Perkins Generators of Sharpsburg GA came recommended by a trusted electrician and they did not disappoint.

The voltage regulator in my 20 KW Generac died after eight years it cost almost as much to replace it as a new generator so I replaced it with a new 18 KW Generac installer hooked it up today and the control board is froze up now I have to wait for a technician to come out I am not happy at all with Generac right now

The woman owned company/dealer installed a Generac 14KW Guardian with WiFi and Surge Breaker. The install team were very knowledgable and friendly. They demonstrated great attention to detail and ensured the install was done correctly. I live in a high wind area, so having the generator provides peace of mind. My Dad who was in the electrical wholesale business for over 66 years swears by Generac for the quality of their product and their customer service. I've already referred several friends to the dealer.
