I live in the deep south, and hurricanes and floods occur often, so loss of power is a common occurrence for us. We had been wanting a whole house generator for a while. After Katrina, we were without power for 5 weeks. We suffered through using portable generators for the last few years, but with our advancing age, the hassle of using two or three small generators to keep our freezers, well pump, and lights running got to be a real hassle! So we finally invested in a Generac whole house generator. That is one of the better decisions of our lifetime! We researched and talked to other owners before buying, and decided that Generac brand was the best choice. We are confident that this purchase will give us many years of hassle free service. We had to wait a year for this generator to be installed but are so happy with it. It was put to good use less than a week after install when a storm went through and power was out for about 18 hours. All our neighbors were jealous as it was in the 90's. Most of all it gives you peace of mind that if you are out of town or traveling that everything continues to run while you are away, especially if you live where there are freezing temps in the winter.

New install, so , I don't have any comments operating experience. Dealer appears to have done a very good job on the install. The installers took time to explain function of the system (transfer switch and generator). When running the generator in manual mode, I was expecting it to be a quieter.

I bought this home generator (10k) for I live out in the country. This is my 2nd generac generator. My first one I bought back in 2000 (4k) portable to run furnace and a few lights and it still runs by the way. This will run everything in my home minis central air. It is a back up in case of emergency outage. I trust the people who manufacture this product and I would purchase again if I needed to. A+

This product has everything neded to run my entire hvac systems (2) and all my electrical needs, (2 Refrigerators, 2 Freezers) and worked perfectly this first start up. Very satisfied with this product.

I love it! I have health problems and need to have my power on all the time. The Generac provides me this so I can use my oxygen and nebulazer anytime I need to. I would difinatly recomend the Generac to family and friends.

After installing numerous generators at customers houses, decided it was time to do my own house. Compact and easy to install and am thoughrouly pleased with its operation and capabilities. Very happy I went with Generac!

Would highly recommend, only had to used the generator once and worked perfectly. Hands down one of the best investments I have ever bought for my house.

very pleased with this 22kw generator!! its a great feeling knowing that if a storm comes and the power goes out, everything in my house still works!! only had it hooked up a month and had to use it and it worked great!!
