We thought the process to install gas and electric and the unit itself was well thought out. When running, we were surprised it was not as noisy as we expected. It looks good positioned behind shrubs to cover it from view. Nice tall slab to mount it on takes away any fears of flooding affecting unit. I recommend the Generac unit. I now feel secure I will have power in case of freeze or hurricane.

We have had our 22kw generator for only about 1 week and it has not yet been turned on due to a power outage. It won't be long if history is an indicator. We chose this size generator and brand after lots of research and expect it will provide the power backup we need. In the meantime it hs provided lots of peace of mind.

I cannot speak to the electronic features of this unit as I am not a techie, and we have not needed it yet due to an outage. We did not price around but insisted on an American made generator. If it provides us power when we need it, we will assume we purchased a Quality unit.

I couldn’t live without one of these to back up my house. They are amazing! If you are looking for a generator I can’t recommend these enough! This is my second home purchasing a generator. When there’s a storm these make you rest at ease that you’ll not starve or freeze to death! If you’re a home owner they are a must! Please consider them!

Although I am waiting for the gas company to get the fuel lines ran, the installation came off without a hitch. Relaying on the Generac reputation, I am expecting it to run reliably for years to come. As an electrician that has installed several other brands, this was a easy installation. The purchase, installation and certified startup went very well. The first year of service with five hours of run time required three warranty visits by the certified startup company. The first warranty call was due to the generator over cranking and loose bolts on the frame. The certified startup company addressed these issues quickly. The second warranty call was due to an oil leak. The certified startup company found loose hose connections around the engine and cooler. They replaced the factory clamps with adjustable clamps. Once again they did a great job. The third warranty call was due to another oil leak. This time the certified startup company found the front engine seal leaking. This was a major repair as they had to remove the entire end of the generator. Once again, they did a great job. At this point, I started asking questions about the warranty and extended warranties. I was given the warranty registration details from the certified startup company and was told to call Generac. I called the main number and was told to call the power group as they handled extended warranties. I called the power group and was told my generator was not registered to call the main number again. I called the main number again and they stated the generator was registered and to call the power group again. Well after many calls I realized I could not fix their departmental communication problem and gave up. I do believe Generac is a good company which is why I still recommended the product. However, I would highly recommend reviewing other manufacturers offers, as I unfortunately found afterwards that they have better warranties and very good reviews as well.

In Oklahoma, tornadoes are frequent. Had one August 7th, lost power. After about 20 seconds, heard the Generac fire, everything lit up, two 4 ton AC's, double oven, 3 reefers and all lights. You never know til you need it and it worked flawlessly. All my neighbors were in awe! Every home I live in the future will have a Generac!
