We purchased a Generac for our duplex and we’re told by our builder it was an unnecessary item. In the past few years it has more than paid for itself . The company Pierro Electrical Construction in Rockdale IL, is a great company.I especially like the fact that they have a female technician named Tammy , she has serviced my Generac for years. I would recommend this company to all .

Very impressed with the whole purchasing, install and product experience. From the start of working with the sales team, to the day of install was an exceptional experience. Very impressed with the product quality and professionalism of the installers. Nice to have peace of mind in an area where power loss has been a continuous issue.

Although I am impressed with the overall quality of my 22kw Generac generator & transfer switch, unfortunately I did not do enough reserarch & was surprised to find: 1. It runs at roughly 1/2 speed (2.5gph LPG) with no load. Regardless of what their engineers claim, there is no excuse for this with today's technology especially since it already drops from high rpm to idle when exercising at no load. It should match rpm to load like most portable units do. 2. I am unable to turn it off & on remotely with my smart phone app. I would think the existing software could do this safely. It appears at least one other manufacturer offers this. 3. The transfer switch does not indicate when load is from utility vs. gen unless you open the cover & note the relay position with a flashlight (or remove the inner cover). Note it does include a switch you can wire your own indicator light to. 4. There is no user display of output, i.e. watts, amps, volts, frequency. Generac confirmed a dealer can access volts & frequency on the generator display but not load. Although I have all the meters to measure these for testing, there needs to be a full time digital display on the transfer switch & on the smart phone app. My experience is as an industrial engineer & building contractor.

Although I am waiting for the gas company to get the fuel lines ran, the installation came off without a hitch. Relaying on the Generac reputation, I am expecting it to run reliably for years to come. As an electrician that has installed several other brands, this was a easy installation. I gave it a 4 star because I haven't had to use the services yet. The installation process was done very professionally and in a timely manner. Had an issue with initial startup of the generator but got everything going smoothly. I did find the wifi connections a little difficult but finally got it connected later the next day. I would recommend Generac to anyone.

We had ours installed after the latest power outage that had us without power and running on a portable generator for 3 days. We decided we were done with the hassle of that and opted for something much more convenient and hassle-free. The generator runs great and works. Peace-of-mind is a wonderful thing.

The unit can not be setup to exercise under load. I like to test the transfer switch function as well as the generator capability to support load for a complete system test. I have been involved in probably at least 100+ standby installations over 40 years and have never had a unit that would not exercise under load. Would certainly like to see a firmware upgrade that allowed for transfer during exercise without requiring a total outage to the home.

We have had our 24KW installed for 539 days, and without question, one of the best investments ever made. It has run properly without fail. Just a few days ago, we experienced 2 outages, one lasted 5 hours, and the other 4.5 hours both with in 2 days of each other, and Generac performed perfectly. Thank you, Generac.

We live in a rural Ontario region. Our concern about power stability is well founded as there are outages from time-to-time. We are very relieved to have invested in the 22kw Guardian. We received excellent dealer service and follow up on all of our questions. We have highly recommended Generac products to our friends.

We love the Generac and it is a great product. It looks like the Generac will a long time tool at our home. It looks great and because of Generac's reliable reputation we will feel safe and sound when and if the power go out. Bill and Susan Dawson.
