It's a slug

Entry level TV. Backlight is uneven. It shows in dim scenes. TV cpu is a slug. NOTHING snappy about its performance. If I could get a refund, I would. I'm tired of waiting for the TV to catch up to me!

Slower every day. Inoperable now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was great in the beginning but now t is so slow you can barely use it. You end up just turning it off. I wish there was a way to update the software or something.

Nice TV with an awkward hard to use remote

Bought this TV online on Black Friday 2023. All in all it's been a very good TV. The picture quality is decent and the colors look nice and bright. The biggest downside is the “magic” remote which is awkward, touchy and a bit of a pain to use. If we had gone in the store and actually seen and tried out this remote, we would have probably chosen a different LG model without this “magic” remote or a different brand.

Slow TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this TV two months ago and I regret it ever since. It's too much trouble to return! I have the fastest Internet services and still the TV works like a snail!! I just remember I bought a similar slow LG TV five years ago but now with the new tv I am surprised that the same technology never changes! The mouse on the remote is worse than a snail! The only good thing about LG is the vivid color and picture that other brands can not compete!

Avoid this TV, Mediocre at best.

I bought the TV yesterday, just set it up. The Good: - Interface is responsive The Bad: -Viewing angles are horrible, washed out if not right in front of TV. -Worst remote I have ever used. It would be going back but my wife says it's good enough for her craft room, it's only for background noise when crafting. It's also for her game cube and nintendo, where she is right in front of it.

It's a TV and that's what it does.

Otherwise, possible issues you may experience are: 1. If auto-update is turned on, you are likely to experience delay from standby to actually able to view a channel due to an update. 2. Even without an update, it takes this model up to 15 seconds to fully power up for viewing a channel.

Bedroom TV and PC monitor

This 50" LG 4K TV replaces another manufacturer's 4K set that stopped working after less than 3 years. So far I've been pleased with the performance and quality of video and audio reproduction. It took me a bit of time to acquaint myself with WebOS operating system and the Magic remote control but it wasn't that long before I had all the connections and settings figured out and tweaked. I hope this LG TV will give me many more years of quality service.

Alexa smart capabilities disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very disappointed with Alexa smart capabilities. The only thing I can do with my Alexa echo is work the volume on my LG UR8000 50 inch TV. When I ask for any other applications such as turn TV on/off I get the response “LG TV does not support that”. I had my options down for choosing two brands of Smart TV, I think I've made the wrong choice. More than anything first thing in the morning I just wanted to say “ Alexa turn my TV on” and then last thing at night “Alexa turn my TV off”. I don't think that was asking much. I have spent two days playing with getting Alexa to work for this TV registering re-registering unregistering, thin Q app, at one point Alexa app gave me an on/off capabilities within the app, once TV was turned off within the app it would not turn back on from within the app. And this only happened once when resetting and re-registering it. Also for some reason when it discovers the TV it shows two TVs within the app one said “TV” the others said “LG webOS 2023 TV”. Tried managing devices within the app to use with LG TV made no difference. guess I can look on the bright side, don't have to pick up the remote to change volume, at least for now. most of the time TV shows as off-line or unavailable within the app. Not to mention I do not want to be going in the app that is the whole reason for voice recognition to the echo device.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv because a brand new different model tv of 6 months went out without warning. I had a LG already and when I saw this it was just right for me. I love the size (70) inch, I love the ease of setting it up and I love the picture. I will surely buy another.

not configurable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] picture and sound are just ok, I haven't found a way to make the picture brighter or the sound (voice) louder, everything is controlled by AI supposedly but it doesn't seem to work properly. and when I turn the TV off then back on, I wish it would go to the home screen instead of going to Sling all the time.
