I have wanted a Sterns and Foster Mattress for many years. Being on a fixed income, I had to save a little bit here and there, which took me a few years to save enough for my dream mattress. This mattress is like sleeping on a cloud. I have back problems; the firmness is just enough to be able to sleep without pain waking me up in the middle of the night. I get up in the morning and do not have aches and pains in my shoulders or back, which is a blessing within itself. I am yet to find anything about this mattress to complain about.

I’ve owned my mattress for less than two years and it has a small hole from the material unraveling. They said it is cosmetic and is not covered under the warranty. How could a mattress less than two years spring a hole. I’ve owned many mattresses and this has never happened. This is not a cosmetic issue, it is a manufacturer issue and they could care less to try and resolve the matter.

Our mattress is only 2-3 years old and it has utterly failed. I am 160 lbs at 6’ and I sink halfway below the edge of the mattress, my SO is short and petite. We keep our mattress clean, protected and constantly rotate. This is not a firm mattress. By ANY measure. But I am stuck with it because it is not collapsed, S&F has so cleverly hid behind the “Comfort Preference” of their sham of a warranty. Almost 3k down the drain for nothing. I am so beyond frustrated and annoyed that this is the situation I have been put in that I am seriously considering civil options.

We purchased a King-size Stearns & Foster Estate Collection mattress (medium firmness) last year, and unfortunately, it has been a major disappointment. We sink in much more than expected and can actually feel the steel coils through the mattress, which makes it very uncomfortable to sleep on. This is the worst mattress we have ever owned, and we would not recommend it.

If you have lower‑back issues and prefer a firm, stable sleep surface, this mattress is absolutely worth considering.

I needed to get out of pain (both sides of my neck, shoulders, upper back) after trying to sleep for 8 months on another manufacturer's mattress. I had been to the chiropractor, too. When I tried the Stearns & Foster at the store, I just knew it was the right one. I had no doubt. Every night for the last week my pain has dissipated more and more because of my Stearns and Foster mattress. I'm just so happy that I can finally sleep all night and not wake up after a few hours with pain. The quality is wonderful and makes me happy when I'm changing sheets and seeing how well-crafted this is. This is the only mattress I will purchase again in the future.

I’d like to share a review of my new mattress the Stern and Foster ESTATE FIRM EPT. First, I’d like to give you a little background on why I selected this mattress. My husband and I were out mattress shopping because the mattress that was in our home was affected by the Eaton fire In January 2025 and had soot and an odor of smoke. We needed to replace it, which we were ok with that, because even though we had recently purchased that mattress in a 2021 and it wasn’t that old, it had already developed a slope and was not really that comfortable. Actually after it was delivered brand new’ it wasn’t that comfortable. So we were extremely happy to get a new mattress! We went to the local Sit And Sleep and tried, I’d say at least 15 different types, and kind of mattresses in our price range. We spent over two hours in the store trying to find the perfect mattress. I then remembered the story my best friend shared with me a couple months prior to us going shopping, that she had owned her Sterns and foster mattress for over 25 years and she was still so satisfied with her SF mattress! That speaks volumes on the quality, durability and how well made your mattresses are. She loves her mattress. She has the abilities to replace it, but she does not want to because she is very comfortable with it, but here’s the best part of the story. My best friend has gone through several body weight changes since she’s owned the S&F mattress, at one point she weighed over 325 pounds and now she weighs about 140 pounds. Your mattress still supports her and she’s still very happy with it! Now that’s a testimonial! We laid on this particular S& F mattress, and we fell in love with it, even though it was a little more than our budget , we purchased it and that is my testimony. From the minute it was delivered to our home till this point now three months later, we are very happy and pleased with our Purchase! It’s so comfortable and has increased our sleep time. Was a good mattress for a few years, then it started indenting in the middle. My previous double sided S&F was wonderful, is now 25 years old, and is holding strong but these new models are no good. Too bad, because I spent good money on a mattress that only lasted a few years. NEVER AGAIN.

I wish I knew how heavy this mattress was going to be, we have a difficult time tucking in the sheets and blanket. Our old mattress did not sag in the middle, I have to work myself to the side with this one. I also wake up in the middle of the night now since we bought this mattress with pain in my hands, I've tried changing pillows but it doesn't make a difference. Turning the mattress is a real chore. I did not read reviews before buying.
