From the first night we tried to sleep on our Lux Estate Pillow top firm, to the 30 th day of trial, I have experienced great discomfort and no support from the mattress. We "sunk" into the firm pillow top and found it uncomfortable -non-supportive- of my back or hips. Each night we sink into the still sunken area of the bed, which makes it difficult to change position to find some relief of my increasing discomfort. I have required physical therapy weekly to treat the increased pain in my hips and upper back, (this condition was tolerable prior to the use of the new mattress). 50% of the time I resort to sleeping on an extra mattress we have in our guest room so that I can get a comfortable sleep. Our mattress is being evaluated as defective. No matter what the determination, we are exchanging this mattress for a different Stearns and Foster mattress-not another Lux Estate Pillow top firm model.

The S&F Lux Estate Medium PT didn't work for me. It had too much memory foam that I sank into causing lower back and hip pain. I am a side sleeper and occasionally sleep on my back. It also slept hot because of all the memory foam. I exchanged it for the S&F Estate Plush tight top which is perfect and costs less.

This has not been what I was hoping for after spending all this money! I have the pillow top firm and it is lumpy in the middle and sinks where you sleep and only had this one month! I believe this is the worst I have ever slept on and hopefully can get something else! Sales lady talked me into a firm which I normally hate!

I give this 2 stars. I bought this several months ago and for the first little while it was great. But within a short time, less than two months, it was sagging where I usually lay and didn't recover. For the extraordinarily high price of the mattress I expected a long-lasting comfortable and supportive product. What I got was far from that. If I try sleeping elsewhere on the mattress I roll into the dip. The dip itself does not provide the comfort that I need for my bad back. What an expensive mistake this was.

This is exactly what I needed for my back and shoulder pain, it's very firm and keeps your posture well positioned. You feel recharged, relaxed and ready to work next day. A good sleep is very important for everyone and this mattress is definitely worth all the money spent on it. You can never go wrong with this mattress. I have been coping with back and hip pain for two years and realized it was my 8yr old memory foam mattress, after traveling and sleeping in hotel beds for a period of time. I decided to shop for a new bed and tried about two dozen mattresses. This particular mattress was like resting on a cloud in the showroom...and after the first night sleeping on it at home, I woke up with no back or hip pain. Now, about a month later...still pain free!! I didn't love the price, but overall worth the investment.

I'm a single mom and my budget for mattresses isn't very much and I'm used to sleeping on mattresses that go flat in a matter of months. That being said, every single night of sleeping on this Stearns & Foster feels like the first and it's been weeks! I'm not a tiny woman, I'm tall and pushing 200lbs. I haven't been making a dent in my new mattress and that makes me so happy! It's not only pretty with the designs, the pillowtop part is super soft and it's honestly the best mattress I've ever slept on!

Definitely firm, I was concerned it would be too firm But it hasnt been. It's cooler Than my old pillow top but I'm sure that has something to Do with the inter workings of the bed. Never have I had the best night sleeps since purchasing this bed. My sister recommended Stearns and Foster and boy was she right. I have fibromyalgia and a bad back and I am telling you this bed has been a life saver. They said it might take awhile to get use to a new bed .. not for me. The very first night in my bed was life changing. I have told everyone I know with pain how this bed has changed my life. I wish I would have known this many years ago. ❤️
