must buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already have a few of these. They integrate really well with google home products so now I can check if I left my flat iron on or coffee maker or anything else I would possibly forget to turn off after I've already left the house instead of bothering my spouse.

Easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this smartphone because I had an issue with leaving an appliance and would forget to turn it off. So I started small with an outlet and a free app that would allow me to feel peace of mind. Very easy to use. Very easy to set up, even if you feel you are not tech savvy. Expanding it now to more plugs and devices so that I can remotely turn on and off lights and sounds while traveling.

Usful product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first smart plug. I like that I can control it through my Alexa app. There is also a Cync app you can download and use it from your phone. It was also very easy to install for someone technially challenged like myself.

For Smart Homes or other devices,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems to be a good idea. I did not understand the necessary requirements for using this product, so not able to try. The concept sounds good. As our homes rely more snd more on Wi-Fi and connected devices and ability to control home functions remotely, will require more products like this.

Love

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been joking with my husband for years I wanted to find the old outlet the "clapper" where you could turn lights off by clapping. This is better. Perfect for the far away light that I don't want to get out of bed to turn off. Super easy to set up

Very Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This GE Cync 120-Volt 1-Outlet Indoor Smartplug is so horrible that I really cannot even really give you a review because I never even got it to connect ...AT ALL... I followed the instructions just how they explained them , I tried several times over multiple days and still nothing... I am not saying do not get one of these maybe you could have better luck than me... but as for me I DO NOT recommend this product AT ALL.

Works Like a Charm But Config was Not Intuitive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GE Smart Plug works great from the GE Sync app on my iPad. It is also controllable from the Google Home app if you use that, however it didn't always respond to the Google Home app. Worked flawlessly with the Sync app, however. My complaint is with the set-up/configuration. The instructions were VERY sparse and left a lot to be figured out. For example, it says you can install it directly (and “seemlessly”) with the Google Home app, but it turned out that does not work; one has to first set it up with the Sync app, then link Sync to Google Home, and then Home can control the plug. After some trial and error I got it working but if you are installing a GE smart device for the first time, the thin instructions might send you down a couple dead ends.
