while this product claims to have a powerful and long lasting protection i have found it be profoundly under powered barely making it though an 8 hour work day. i've used the mens care deodorant right out the shower and found myslf with embarassing under arm before the end of the day:(

I used this product for years when it was 48 hour version. When I couldn't find any longer I found this version of the "Extra Fresh" Antiperspirant. Going from 48 hours to 72 hours seemed like a bit much, but I liked the scent so much that I figured I would give it a try. Well I was disappointed to find the scent had changed. Having already purchased it, I decided to just use it and try something else next time. What a mistake. Not only has the scent changed, but to top it off it irritated my skin big time. I purchased a multipack so needless to say I'm irritated through and through...

I have used Dove solid deodorant / antiperspirant "Fresh Scent" for many years. It WAS one of the few deodorants that I've found that was long lasting, blocked odor & sweat, didn't have an overly strong perfume smell and didn't irritate my skin. That is no longer the case. The new "Fresh Scent" with Citrus is absolutely awful. The new citrus scent is over powering and gives me a headache. And my wife told me I smelled like a cheap, citrus gas station car air freshener and refused to be in the same room with me. I can't say that I blame her. Why would a grown man want to smell like citrus perfume? I have no idea. So, I bid you farewell Dove Deodorant. Your former loyal customer

The new smell of the 72h version of this is completely awful. I don't even know how you can call it citrus because it smells so overpoweringly like coconut and perfume. I've been using this product for over a decade and it had a nice scent that wasn't too much. This new version smells like you've bathed in a coconut air freshener and it just lingers - you can smell it so strong by the end of the day even if you're sitting and keeping your arms down. I don't at all understand why Dove would change the product scent so drastically and keep the same name. It's honestly such a garbage smell and I'm going to have to switch brands because of this. Considering how many people these days (and offices) are scent sensitive, I can't at all understand why Dove would make this change. I guess if you shove enough coconut air freshener smell in a product it'll overpower you so much it will hopefully last 72h? Please bring back the original 48h one.

I currently use the Dove for me shampoo and am very satisfied with that, but I have to say I am disappointing with the deodorant. I like to smell and the applicator, but it wears out before the end of day. Also, the stick depletes quickly. There are other products out there that are more effective and longer lasting both in the pit and the dispenser.

My spouse goes to work and forgets to put deodorant on but he did put on dove the day before and he shower the next day, I told me oh well if I start to stink but he was surprised he never did so he went 2 days plus shower and dove still had him protected. I just this product for men because he was so surprised it worked that well he does buy this again after how impressed he was.

I have used this product, but when I try same product in spray purchased in UK is big difference. In spray is much better and leaves no residue and lasts longer. Where to find in US this product in spray? Do not tell me that I have to order from UK. Thank you.

I used Dove Men deodorants for the last three years and never had an issue with the solid white deodorant, it actually held up and last for me for the entire day. In the last 6 months the solid white option was no longer available at my local retail store. So I decided to give new solid blue gel type a try, boy was I disappointed. Very soon I found out that that the new gel type did work as good as the solid white type. On a normal day just going to the store and walking on a summer day the solid gel type will no longer hold up and I would have to continuously put on more deodorant.

My husband had been using the original fresh scent 48 hr deodorant for 13 years. The new 72hr deodorant smells absolutely disgusting. It also causes skin irritation. Please bring back the original 48hr fresh scent deodorant. The original was literally the only deodorant he could use that didn't cause skin irritation and now he's having to try to find a new brand.
