Scent is not overpowering in any way. Product goes on dry. According to label, it has 48 hour sweat and odor protection. I applied product after bathing everyday. I did not experience any skin irritation. Container is attractive and it is easy to tell what product is. Scent is clearly written on front of can and there are pictures of rose petals.
