Satisfactory for an electric shave.

Not quite as close and fast as shaving with a razor blade but keeps me beardless as my wife and I refer. Great for a quick trim before going out for the evening. Recent Norelcos are much better than other brands that I tried years ago.. I've using Norelco shavers for about 15 years now.

Not pleased yet!

Had three of the triple cutter rechargeable units in the past 12 years. Really liked them, it seems this head is bigger and bulky. Hangs up on skin near chin. Maybe things will work out as I use this more. Does not seem to shave as close as older style. Still have my last old triple cutter unit and may go back to using it. Sometimes improved is not better for all of us who shave.

Shaves ok, not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Norelco shavers for years and was generally satisfied with them. Like all electrics, they shave nowhere near as close as a blade. After no longer being able to find new heads for my last Norelco, which was superior to the others, I bought a Braun Series 8. It gave a better shave, but after 3 years intermittent use the power button broke off. I decided to return to Norelco with this one. Strangely, it's shave is about as close as the Braun but also gives some “razor burn.” I've not seen this before. Also, the way the heads are mounted causes the underside edge to sometimes grab and irritate the skin if you haven't stretched it tight enough. So, mixed review. It does a serviceable job, is reasonably priced, and is much quieter than the Braun buzzers.

Great wet-dry shaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had Philips Norelco shavers for decades, and this is the best one yet. My favorite method is in the shower using shaving gel. It's quick, clean, and leaves my face as smooth as a blade shave. It's easy to clean under the shower spray too. If I'm in a hurry, an even faster dry shave is okay too, but not quite as close. I like the solid carrying case too for travel.

Great shave!

I received this shaver as a gift for Christmas 2020. It give me a great, smooth shave. I had been using Philips' electric shaver for many years. My last of finally bit the dust in early 2020 and I started using a straight edge razor. It gave me a very good shave but I missed having an electric shaver to use. I was surprised with the S6540 shaver as a gift for Christmas.

Cannot Register this product

Do not expect a person when you call and if your call is like mine, expect to get sent to the black hole when you call. It is impossible to register this product for the "free" extra 6 months of warranty. What will happen if you actually try to get this company to honor its warranty? Yeah.

Not good for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is very hard to slide irritatong my skin and doesn't give a clean shave. I still could feel the short think remnants of cut hairs giving my face a coarse feel. I ended up dumping it amd went back to my old Braun shaver.
