This 3D printer is great right out of the box! With the free app we've been printing so many cool things. I am so impressed with this Toybox printer that I went back and bought 4 more 🥳 I will be giving one to each of our kids families for our grandchildren to use. Our grandchildren are already learning how to use them when they come to our house they have the app on the ipads we have here for them. These are going to be great family Christmas presents. A note I feel in love with how easy they are to create cool toys.

Purchased this 3D printer for my son who's done 3D printing at school. He's printed many 5 Nights at Freddy's characters. The printer food is reasonably priced. YouTube video was very helpful related to calibrating. He'll be using this printer for a while.

I'm a 50 years old grandma and I got this for my 8 year old grandson. I knew that he would need help with it but I was very shocked to see how simple it is to operate! My grandson was printing within 30 minutes of opening the box! It's small but it prints very fast! If you want a starter for a younger child this is great!!! I'm planning on getting myself a bigger one but this is perfect for my 8 year old grandson! Thank you for a great product! Can't wait to see what he makes today!!

So I have a Bambu X1-Carbon and have worked with several Prusas, but this thing takes the cake. Fundamentally, they _don't_ walk you through calibration first. They just blindly have you try to print things. When you get to calibration, this is the Toybox Alpha 2. It actually included tools that _can't be used for it_ but rather with the alpha 1. It took me over a day to find the actual calibration screw and 4 days for their support to reply. Then, on the 3rd print, using their own provided PLA "food", the printer generated a clog in the hot end itself. Still have not gotten a response back from the vendor, so we'll be returning this.

This printer does not work well

Didn’t work. Produced a plastic blob. Grandkids were very disappointed!

This printer was a big disappointment. It stopped working after only a few uses. When I tried to fix the clog, I found that the tool included in the box couldn't open all the screws. Many of the screws are an uncommon shape, and I couldn't find a screwdriver that fit them properly. I contacted Sam's club and was offered a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement unit was even worse. It couldn't print at all. After checking it, I discovered that it would not heat up. The nozzle was supposed to get hot during warm-up, but it stayed cold, making printing impossible. This product wasted a lot of my time, and I am very disappointed.

I purchased this for my 7 year old son for Christmas. Set up was easy and we printed three toys without any problem. The fourth print came out stringy and ultimately just failed printing. I tried recalibrating it, which is tedious work; you have to turn a screw with your fingers, which is located in a really challenging spot. Then you have to test print, and make additional adjustments, and repeat until it works. Nothing is automatic. We spent more than an hour trying to calibrate it, but the prints still came out bad. My son eventually just asked me to return it, and he went on to play with other Christmas gifts he'd received. A really bad look for sure.
