Thank you for taking the time to contact Rubbermaid regarding Take-Alongs. We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced with our product. Rubbermaid TakeAlongs were designed to provide a simple food storage solution, at an affordable price. The new and improved TakeAlongs feature the Quik Clik seal so you always know the lid is secure. They are intended to be a value container that you can afford to give away, if you choose. They are also great for use on-the go because you don’t have to worry about losing them or leaving them behind. Unlike Rubbermaid durable containers, these are not meant to withstand long-term use. For a food storage option designed for long-term use we would recommend our Easy Find Lids Food Storage.
