I am 80 years old and changed from my other mattress because I wanted one that was more cushiony and a little less firm. This mattress is excellent, actually providing firm support as well as a comfortable cushion feel. I can sleep in any position in complete comfort and good support. I got the medium pillow top Studio with a 9" box spring underneath. It has greatly relieved all my various aches and pains, and is perfect for me. It is a bit pricey but well. worth the expense at my age

Many of the mattresses we tried either seemed like they'd sag in the middle eventually or felt hard as a rock. This mattress had the balance we were looking for as side sleepers. As with any mattress, expect it to be a little on the firmer side until it's broken in. Ours has been steadily softening towards how it felt when we tested it in the store.

The mattress feels so luxurious compared to other mattresses I've had in the past. The outer material feels thick and substantial and this mattress is COMFORTABLE! Even though it is not billed as a pillow top mattress, it has the cushy feel of a pillow top. It is very supportive for a medium mattress while still having a cozy feel to it. One thing that was really important to me was the mattress be very breathable. My husband tends to sleep very hot, so the wrong mattress can exacerbate that problem. Luckily this mattress sleeps very cool, and that's from our experience sleeping on it in the middle of July. This mattress is also great for couples as you aren't going to be jostled around when your partner moves. I can't even feel it when my husband rolls over in the night. Overall, we love our new mattress.

As soon as I tried this mattress at the store, I knew it was the one I was going to get. I am a big fan of this mattress. It is medium, so there is a liitle give in it, but it is also offers good support. I fall into this mattress and it feels so comfortable. I am sleeping better and longer with this mattress.

I first used this mattress at my sons home and had the best nights sleep ever. Came home and purshased the twin size and couldn't be more pleased. No more waking up in the night with hot flashes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate to get a Stearns & Foster Studio Medium Tight Top - Queen size as a sample to replace a nondescript mattress of over 15 years. Having never owned a medium tight mattress before, I did some research about it, and apparently medium is preferred for side sleepers as it provides more support to the spine. My partner is a side sleeper and he likes this mattress just fine. I am someone who prefers everything rock hard, like I should just be sleeping on a rice mat or slat of wood, which probably supports my back-sleeping position. This one is soft to the touch and your body sinks right in. But the quality is there. The stitching on the top is there. It looks like a fine, expensive mattress and I suspect this one will hold up as long as the last one did. We got it right before the seasons turned and it was also good at keeping us cool when temperatures were hot at night. And there's no fiberglass!
