I got the 10k btu unit mainly for when the power goes out and to run off my generator, but also to assist the central ac during extra hot days or when a crowd of people are over. I love how quiet it runs putting out a nice stream of cold air. The sleak compact modern design makes a subtle presence so it's hardly noticeable. My installation couldn't be centered so I had to take that in account and couldn't use the according extensions. Installation was easy since the frame was built in; however, this does raise my concern for security. Unless one takes steps in that regard, it could easily provide a way in for break-ins or even being stolen. I had my alarm company put a sensor on it. I did wish there were a few optional security assessories offered.

I had issues with my initial delivery and the team at Windmill was right there to assist, could not have asked for more. Also, I love my air conditioner. It's small, compact, and efficient. The app works seamlessly and I have already gotten compliments on the sleek, minimal design. Absolutely recommend.

We bought this air conditioner after several neighbors bought one, primarily because they are quiet. We are now able to keep the A/C on while we watch TV (woohoo!). The A/C is smaller than expected and is very easy to install. We love that the air blows up and not out, so we no longer have freezing cold spots but a nice cool temperature throughout the space. We're still trying to figure out the app to get the automations to work to turn it on in advance of returning home (it does take longer to cool the room than traditional behemoth models so having it on before you get home seems critical on hot days), so can't comment fully about that yet.

My Windmill Air Whisper Quiet AC was performing beautifully but developed a problem. When I reached out to the company I experienced what might be the best customer service I’ve ever had. After troubleshooting the issue with me, and with consistent and engaged communications, the representative decided that the results warranted a new unit. It arrived almost immediately, at no charge to me. And the replacement unit is performing at its peak! I categorically recommend the product and the company. It’s refreshing to be treated so well, and refreshing that a product lives up to its hype. Buy from Windmill, you wont regret it.

I recently purchased the 8k A/C unit, and I am extremely satisfied with it. The setup was straightforward and hassle-free. The unit performs excellently, delivering great results. I particularly love the app, which allows me to control the A/C from my phone and computer no matter where I am. Additionally, when I had a question, I received an instant response via email with the correct information. Highly recommend!

Overall this is a fairly nice AC unit for the price point—it looks better in my room and is quieter, than many AC units. However, the temperature gauge—which measures the ambient air temperature in the room—is often incorrect. This is a problem because it means that it thinks the room cooler than it is and won’t turn on. I reached out to Windmill about this issue and they responded acknowledging the issue and basically suggesting I try and mess with the temperature gauge myself, by insulating it, to fix the issue. Not impressed that they are selling an AC unit that they know has this issue.

Our first AC came with a problem & customer service was incredibly helpful and quickly sent us a replacement AC. It was stress free as we didn’t have to repackage and return the broken unit. 10/10 best customer service experience & our new unit works incredibly! Zero noise and it cools our living room in seconds.

I love the look of the air conditioner. The install was very simple thanks to your detailed directions. BUT! It’s much louder than I expected. The only time it’s quiet is in the fan mode. All other modes come with a high pitched ring that is almost unbearable to me. So… not in love with this but also don’t want to deal with a return. Maybe there’s something wrong with this unit?

it's great! cuter than other ACs, fairly easy install, and much quieter as well one drawback is that it is a little larger when out of the window than other ACs we have used for the same room, which makes it harder to store. we are now using the insulating side panels which seem to be working well but for those who have space to store it is something to consider
