[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Scotch Box Lock Packaging tape from 3M for an honest review. I really like the design of the dispenser. It is a durable plastic that you can apply pressure to as you put the tape to seal the box. Once you start the beginning of the roll you slide t through the 2 tabs so you will never lose the end. Place the beginning of the tape onto the box where you wish to begin and pull on the dispenser across the top of the box until you reach where you want to end. Gently press the gripped area on the side of the dispenser and twist to cut the tape easily and still keeping the end of the tape securely in the tabs so you no longer have to search the entire roll for the end of the tape. You only need to use one strip across the top and bottom of the box for security. No need to add extra rows because this tape is super sticky!! I would absolutely recommend this to friends and family especially if you are one to mail out boxes around holiday time. You get quite a bit of tape on the roll too so it will last for quite a few boxes. Will have to try this out on my moving boxes when I pack up because it worked excellent for the package I mailed to California!! Super easy to use!!

For starters, I love that it was easy to find the start of the roll. This tape grips securely, and I did not feel like I had to use layer after layer. Definite must-have! 3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate.

Total weight of the box + return was about 5 pounds. I purchased a box and used the Scotch Box Lock Packaging Tape. I was impressed with how much more durable it felt compared to some other packaging tape that I have. I am an "over secure" packer meaning I run multiple lines of tape over the same seam. I have got in the habit of this over the years due to inferior packaging tapes that had me questioning whether the tape would hold. For the first time in a long time, I only taped the seams JUST ONCE using the Scotch Box Lock Packaging Tape. It truly has a secure tight bond that puts me at ease. Return was sent and successfully received. 3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate. I plan on purchasing this and using this as my "go to" tape for future packaging.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually use a different brand of shipping tape but I recently tried the Scotch brand Box Lock Shipping Tape and was surprised with how great it worked! I had a few boxes I wanted to tape up and this tape adhesive is strong and held them sealed! The roll was easy to get started, stays stuck to the dispenser for easy finding, is thicker, and tears straight across without slivering, splitting, or tearing, unlike my regular brand of shipping tape! It's also easy to use with one hand while multitasking, I just wish it had more tape on the roll than provided with this brand. If you're looking for shipping tape, look no further! I recieved the product free from 3M.

I have used it on a few different boxes now and have to say it's just above average for packing tape. One thing I do like is the thickness of the tape which gives it a bit more tear resistance than the average packing tape. It has good adhesion but will still peel back off without destroying the box if you needed to get back in it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tape is nice and thick and I was a little skeptical about it's sticking abilities because of that thickness until I actually sealed a box with it. It sticks. It also unrolls smoothly and it's easily cut with the built in cutter on the dispenser. This smaller roll is also easier to grip and use but would obviously run out a lot quicker than the larger roll so I feel this size is best for those who want a sturdy tape but don't use it as often. If you ship/pack items more often, a larger roll would be a better bet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this asa a sample and have put it to good use. The tape sticks very well to all the boxes I have had to seal up and even some plastic bags I needed to seal shut. This tape works great. The cutter works well and have not had any issues.

Happy with the quality and it does keep boxes closed securely. I'm glad they figured out how to dispense the tape without making that loud noise. Will definitely be buying this in the stores.
