Sometimes I find that layering actives/ingredients on my own can be tricky, so I try to use products that already combine certain ingredients so that I can get the benefits without the guess work. I have noticed that my skin loves vitamin C when it's used in moderation (and with sunscreen of course).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this vitamin C, it moistures my skin comfortably with hyaluronic acid including. Next morning you will feel the different from your skin. I like the way this kind of tube protects the product inside with the little cap.

It has definitely helped with some minor dark spots in the few weeks I've been using it, but it does not mix with other products, so using it every day isn't feasible as it flakes and causes my face to look like a complete mess. The alcohol content is also a bit concerning, and I think it's the reason my face seems to be making more oil to compensate. I think I'll use for the suggested eight weeks and reevaluate based on the results - but it's not looking like a permanent addition to my routine.

It just sinks in and I am able to apply my other skincare without any trouble. I will be trying it longer just to see a difference. Cerave's products are good so this should not fail me now. If you are looking for a vitamin c serum, give this one a try, I recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to start out by saying that I currently use CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser daily and I absolutely love it. I was very excited to get the opportunity to test out the CeraVe Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum. My first impressions of this product weren't the best, the overall scent of the product was horrible. I noticed that it made my skin oilier throughout the day. I already struggle with oily skin, but this made things worse. I also experienced the product balling up sometimes when I would use it which was very odd to me. Overall I did not feel like this product gave me any results at all. My skin did not love this serum and neither did I. I would not recommend this serum for anyone with oily skin.
