I love my lux estate so much I'm a fan on the sterns and tempur family but to me sterns was the better choice it had everything I was looking for edge support great coil System and great comfort layers I know that will last me many years! I treated my self To it while I was working at mattress firm I sold So many sterns and fosters my customers would come back to me so happy saying it help with they back and rest I knew I had to get one for me and my husband we sleep so well ! The only con for me is the mattress is pretty heavy but it does have the best quality materials so I deal with it with care and love it can't wait to add adjustable base

I purchased in August 2023 from the now bankrupt sleep galleria so maybe that has something to do with quality control. Anyhow, I'm primarily a back and side sleeper with low back problems and thought the ultra firm would help me, as mattresses tend to sag and create pressure points. Unfortunately, the mattress is a bit way too firm. This particular ultra firm model is not listed on the site or so I haven't found and perhaps its been discontinued. I waited to long for a potential return. I do like the look of the mattress and it does seem to have some quality build to it, but for the money it's not quite worth it. It was either this or a beautyrest black and i opted for a stearns and foster considering their long term reputation for quality mattresses. Oh well, I'll probably keep it for an extra room later.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mattress is comfortable enough, but extremely heavy. It is most difficult to lift while placing a fitted mattress protector and fitted sheet. I wish I would have be appraised of this in the store. It is not practical for anyone with ordinary strength. I noticed the delivery men even had difficulty lifting it to remove the plastic covering. First, I am one to never change something I like and am comfortable with. I've had my current mattress now for 7 years and I love it and it's the best. Or so I thought before I tried the Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop mattress. This mattress is everything I could want. Let's start with its appearance. I got the Queen mattress and the color is Dark blue with 3 gray fleur de lis on it. Almost didn't want to put sheets over it with how regal it looks. It's a thick/deep mattress at about 16 inches with handles on the side to move easier. It also has a pillowtop which is a nice touch. It's smooth and silky to the touch and great quality stitching. It is a firm mattress, but with the soft pillowtop it feels really comfortable. Not so much that you sink in, but definitely enough to be enjoyable. It's not bouncy like coil mattresses and not stiff like the firm foam mattresses. As GoldiLocks would say, "it's just right". I slept on this mattress for 7 days. With this mattress I wake up feeling actually refreshed. I haven't slept a full night in I don't even know how long. Limited tossing and turning as well. Seemed to feel and stay cooler than my old mattress too. On my old mattress I had shoulder pain when I woke up. Now I'm not going to say it's gone, but 75% better for sure. My rating for the Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop mattress is an easy 10/10. Amazing product! I've already raves about it to my friends and family. My Dad is coming this weekend to try it out too. Saying goodbye to my old foam mattress and I will be investing in another for my guest room soon. It will be worth every penny!

This is a very comfortable mattress. Unfortunately the off gassing of the materials gave me terrible respiratory distress. I think the latex in the cushioning caused me to have an allergic reaction. My old Stearns & Foster (used almost 20 years) never had any such pungent odor. I think the new materials used in fabrication of the products contain more synthetic additives that can cause an allergic reaction in sensitive people who are sensitive to their odors - like me. This one is very comfortable but I had to return it.

It feels like laying on a cloud that helps support my body and keep me cool at night. This is the only mattress I have found that actually helps to keep me cool.

Definitely firm, I was concerned it would be too firm But it hasnt been. It's cooler Than my old pillow top but I'm sure that has something to Do with the inter workings of the bed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased a new Beautyrest hybrid mattress that was just not working for us. We slept on it over a month and knew it wasn't for us. When we returned to the mattress store the new line of Stearns and Foster had just arrived and we chose the new pillow top Lux line. We knew the first night it was the right choice. We are very happy with our new Stearns & Foster.

The S&F Lux Estate Medium PT didn't work for me. It had too much memory foam that I sank into causing lower back and hip pain. I am a side sleeper and occasionally sleep on my back. It also slept hot because of all the memory foam. I exchanged it for the S&F Estate Plush tight top which is perfect and costs less.
