Not very accurate

We have compared the results of the garmins scale to several other scales and body analysis device and it seems to read quite high. Surprisingly a cheap scale was closer to the professional values. Not sure if we will keep it. Seems like these are all well known issues garmin is aware of but choosing not to address.

Phenomenal Scale

The detail and robustness of this scale is exceptional. The integration it affords with the app good but good be a bit user friendly. It is worth the cost for what it does and the information it provides is useful for those looking for that level of detail.

Good but not great

I’m very happy with the scale and the features, but with multiple users that are about the same weight and the “tap” sensing that doesn’t provide any sensory feedback it is sometimes hard to select the right person. Maybe there should be some type of confirmation before logging it to Connect. The link to connect is sometimes wonky and unreliable. Like I said, good high quality Garmin product but not great in terms of usability.

Works like a charm!

I purchased this scale hoping to track all the metrics that the InBody scale does at my gym. And it is amazing! I love that it can track both myself and my wife using two different Garmin accounts. And I also love that it updates Garmin Connect over WiFi so I do not need my phone to run the app. This scale does everything that it advertises and I am hooked!

Love the connectivity

I bought the Garmin scale because I was looking for more accuracy of body fat than my old Tanita Ironman. It’s hard to say which is more accurate! My Tanita says my body fat is 17%, and the Garmin says 9%. So idk! I guess I won’t know until I do a DEXA. I do really love that the data goes directly to Garmin connect!!

Returned

Body fat percentage readings not accurate which was the main reason for purchase. After reading in depth reviews, a youtube video went into detail of how to "fix" the issue by entering your "known" percentage. If I have to "fix the issue" and enter my "known" percentage, the scale is not worth the cost. It gave. me a reading of 37% body fat. I am 113 pounds, have visible muscle and my tanita scale ranges from 23%-26% body fat, which is more in line with a professional calibration I had a year ago.

Hi Tech Weight Scale

I have owned this for a month, nice finish and quality. I like the firmware update capability, already installed one update. Sometimes it is slow to respond to take a weight reading but also may be me getting used to it. The best feature in linking to my Garman app is to track progress!

Great Scale

My previous scale was so inaccurate in its readings, it wasn’t even funny. The weight was the only thing correct. I can’t honestly say that the extra features of this scale are 100% accurate but I do know that it is much closer than the other scale. I would have to have professional measurements to know how close it is. I like the fact that it’s integrated with Garmin Connect.

It works pretty good, i gave the scale 3 stars because it doesn't always "wake up" when trying to use it. I have to either pick the unit up and tilt it to "wake up" or have to remove and replace the batteries. The weight function seems to be accurate but not sure how accurate the other readings are.

**Review of the Garmin S2 Scale**

I was initially excited about the Garmin S2 Scale, given its reputation for accuracy and integration with fitness tracking. When it works as intended, it's truly outstanding. The scale provides comprehensive metrics like weight, body fat percentage, muscle mass, and more, seamlessly syncing this data to your phone and the internet for a holistic view of your health. The design is sleek, the interface is user-friendly, and the data presentation is both informative and motivating. However, my experience has been marred by significant sync issues. The scale often refuses to connect to my phone or the internet, leaving me with data that's stuck on the device or sometimes not recorded at all. This connectivity problem is incredibly frustrating, especially when you're trying to track progress over time or share data with a fitness coach. Despite multiple attempts at troubleshooting, including resetting the device and reinstalling the app, the syncing remains inconsistent. In summary, while the Garmin S2 Scale excels in functionality and design when it does sync correctly, the frequent failures to connect make it a disappointing purchase. If Garmin can resolve these sync issues, it would undoubtedly be a top recommendation; until then, the scale's potential remains unfulfilled
