I previously owned the first garmin index scale, bought it in 2020, I was happy about it with all the measurements it provides, I just bought the Garmin index scale S2 assuming it would have newer features and more precise measurements, but what I really found out is that the measurements between the 2 are completely different, even when I use 1 after the other, you would expect some minor changes/variables, I'd say +/- 1 would be acceptable, but using the 2 at the same time will give me completely different numbers, specially on weight and body fat (+/- 3 kg or +/-10% body fat difference), honestly I don't even know which one is right or wrong, would not trust any with such a big differences being tested at the same time, not happy at all

I was anticipating a great product from Garmin. I love my bike computer. However, this took hours to connect to WiFi after multiple attempts. The scale doesn’t work unless you move it a little bit on the floor each time before stepping onto it. The fat% is inaccurate (compared to bod pod). I used to have a cheap foreign brand wifi scale that works better than this. For the expense and brand, I would expect much better quality

Fun scale to see where you at in goal. It nice that it gives you water bone and % of your weight. Not sure how accurate it is but great features. I never really weighed myself often, but I love getting up every morning to weigh myself to see the initial information. Then really digest the details on the Garmin app, before my lunch break.

This is my first smart scale but I did a lot of research before choosing. I should begin by saying that I live in the Garmin ecosystem: watch, bike computer. This scale gives me a lot of information, like Weight, BMI, Body Fat, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass, and Body Water Content. While I've only used it for a few weeks, it will track 7 day, 4 week, and one year data. By comparing it with other scales that I use, at the gym for example, it seems accurate; or at least consistent. When combined with my Garmin watch, or other smart watches I believe, it gives me a total view of my over all health and daily activity like sleep, heart rate, steps, etc. The display is easy to read and it was very easy to connect via wifi. It is also a really nice looking scale in all black. I highly recommend this scale for anyone that would like to track how diet and exercise is effecting your fitness goals.

I would have given this scale 5 stars....it is easy to read, displays all necessary data am looking for, fast response time, lets you know if you are gaining or droping weight, BUT, the setup is very weird...for about a week I could not get it to work, it just kept displaying the connecting to Garmin App symbol...then i read online that you should try different locations, I moved to my living room, and that solved the issue, it connected to wifi, and the Garmin App, moved back to my bathroom and it stayed connected...i would rate this 4.5 but that is not an option, only ding I have is the initial setup...

As expected from a Garmin produced product, the index s2 integrates seamlessly with the Garmin connect platform. New features like the ability to enter lean body mass from a dexa scan allow for more accurate tracking of body metrics. Overall extremely pleased with the new features over the previous version.

Seems to measure well and accurately. Big problem is that it only syncs to Garmin connect via wifi using older 2.4 ghz bandwidth. You’ll find lots of posts online from people having trouble connecting their scale. Ridiculous that it doesn’t connect to phone/Garmin Connect via Bluetooth, or via 5ghz wifi.

Bought this scale to replace the normal scale we all have in the bathroom. It was pretty simple to set up and sync with the Garmin Connect app that we already use for our watches and bike computers. Had a recent software update that was easy to install as well. Scale works as expected and generates a lot of data besides your weight. Like the feature that it senses who is stepping on it but sometimes it does get confused and you have to manually switch the user. If you have other Garmin products and are a data geek, this scale is for you.

Was a little tricky to pair with the connect app on my phone but likely more user error than anything about Garmin products. Highly recommend, I use it in conjunction with the connect app and my Epix 2 watch to get more data and more accurate analytics. Super happy, would buy again.

I've set this up to automatically log all 4 members of my household. Only quibble is it takes a jostle to wake it but after that everything works flawlessly. My success waking it has been a little inconsistent - they could definitely improve this piece.
