Wildly inaccurate. does not work at all

i just took it out the box. set it up, updated the software. been standing still on it for 10 mins & will not stop at any weight reading. its shwoing wildly inaccurate weight, and goes back and forth over a range of about 30 lbs without ever confirming any reading

I like how this provides more insight other than just weight itself. It also inputs data right into the Garmin app, which helps me keep track of fitness goals and levels. But one does need to be realistic and know that this will not give a true score of muscle and fat mass. That's where going and getting either a Dexa or Inbody scan will be most beneficial. Overall I love this scale and the information it provides.

Sent it back

Device would take multiple attempts to turn on when stepping on it. Could not pair additional users using invitation through the app. Instructions insufficient. I sent it back. I liked it when it worked. Next level features but what good is it if it doesn't do what it’s supposed to?

nice integration but $$$ and ??? metrics accuracy

I bought this and the automatic data transfer works really well via WiFi; also, it integrates with multiple users which is v. cool. But is is 5x more expensive than other smart scales so i got this as a gift otherwise would not buy it myself - accuracy of other metrics is questionable at best. The accuracy of BMI, body fat %, and other "advanced" metrics is a bit off. I recommended that Garmin pick up the camera-based body assessment technology from Amazon's discontinued Halo product - it was a LOT more accurate - garmin should incorporate it into the conenct app along with the scale.

First version was better

I have two garmin smart scales - number one was original version I’ve had maybe 5 years or so. Second is the latest “Smart Scale “ version. Second or most recent version is junk compared to original. Do yourself a favor and google the reviews on this scale before you buy. Biggest complaint is Body Fat reading - original garmin scale has me about 10% body fat which is probably about right. Latest version has me at 26% - same weight and body composition on both. I’ve done all software updates and tried messing around with my age and activity level on Garmin connect. Made no difference. For the amount this scale costs - unacceptable.

Works like a charm!

I purchased this scale hoping to track all the metrics that the InBody scale does at my gym. And it is amazing! I love that it can track both myself and my wife using two different Garmin accounts. And I also love that it updates Garmin Connect over WiFi so I do not need my phone to run the app. This scale does everything that it advertises and I am hooked!

The next step in your fitness journey.

The index smart scale is quite honestly the next step in you meeting your fitness goals. Not only can to see your weight trends but also see how your workouts affect your body. The water that your body has lost before and after your workout is a game changer also you have the ability to track your muscle mass, so you can track whether you're gaining muscle or losing it.

Great!....Mostly

I pretty much love everything except the body fat calculation. It was WAY off to begin with. Once I went into the settings and set my body fat to what it should be it has been pretty steady since. If this is calculating through your body as it says it does, then you shouldn't have to manually enter data like that in order for it to read more accurately. I do love how it auto uploads all data to my Garmin Connect app. Overall though, I'm happy with purchasing this scale.

Really Like It

I’ve had it for about a month now and it works great. Paired it with my Venu 2 and they sync great every day. Readings look accurate to me. Only two issues: 1. You toe tap it to turn it on. I have to tap my 5-6 times before it wakes up, so that feature needs a tweak. 2. We tried repeatedly to set up an account for my wife, but it never works, or when it does, it wipes out my account. So she just either uses the guest feature or another scale. That also needs a tweak. But overall I like it and haven’t had any issues other than the above.

A Good Measuring Device

Since we bought this, we have noticed that it is about 5.5 lbs off what our old scale measures and what the doctor's office measures. We also find it hard to 'awaken' the scale. We get on barefoot, but it does not wake up. We tap it in numerous spots, but it does not wake up. Once it wakes up it works fine.
