Disappointing

I bought the scale a while ago. After my withings scale broke The UI is kind of clunky but I can’t change the profile on the scale, it doesn’t connect my connect app — my partner weighed themselves on it before I did and now only their guest profile shows up. They weigh a lot less than me, garmin connect took their weights and messed up all my training readiness. There’s no simple way to delete the data or have the scale recognize my user. Very disappointing

Owned this a few months now as an accessory to go with my Garmin watch. Still diving into the features but there is one negative I would give this item so far. It’s extremely difficult to “wake up.” I can’t just tap it or step on it to wake it up, I about have to kick it..

Good scale but finicky wifi

Scale itself seems to work fine, happy with that. Wifi can be finicky. Takes forever to connect sometimes, especially if the wifi signal isn't real strong where you are using the Scale. Followed the instructions on the support site to enable "athlete mode", doesn't work. Made no difference in body fat calculations. Not sure if that is an issue with the Scale itself or the app.

Great Smart Scale

This is my first smart scale but I did a lot of research before choosing. I should begin by saying that I live in the Garmin ecosystem: watch, bike computer. This scale gives me a lot of information, like Weight, BMI, Body Fat, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass, and Body Water Content. While I've only used it for a few weeks, it will track 7 day, 4 week, and one year data. By comparing it with other scales that I use, at the gym for example, it seems accurate; or at least consistent. When combined with my Garmin watch, or other smart watches I believe, it gives me a total view of my over all health and daily activity like sleep, heart rate, steps, etc. The display is easy to read and it was very easy to connect via wifi. It is also a really nice looking scale in all black. I highly recommend this scale for anyone that would like to track how diet and exercise is effecting your fitness goals.

Great potential features, but needs documentation

I have had this for about a month. I use it every morning and night. It needs to be accompanied by background and standards for the data it displays. ie: what levels should body muscle, bone, fat and water be! And.. what do changes signify. My Omron scale came with such a dicoument. Your scale should also!

I bought a brick

I’ve been unable to get the scale to work once since I unboxed it. It immediately needed a software update which was unclear if it even completed successfully and since then it turns on when i tap it and then blinks like it thinks im wearing socks and shuts off with taking any measurements. it also doesn’t connect the app via bluetooth. I’ve gone through the factory reset and standard reset options dozens of times. I’m pretty sure it’s just a fancy glass brick

It's not a typical, Garmin product

It takes several times to set it up, does not sync each time it is used, the app says I need to complete the setup and when I click through, it tells me I am all done. When I walk through the steps, Wi-Fi is connected, my app sees the scale, I use the scale, my stats do not update. It's easier to use any scale and update the stats in the app.

Misleading capabilities

Love Garmin and my Instinct2 watch. On my fitness journey I decided to give this scale a try and boy, what an anti-climatic disappointment. The sensors and algos' that set it apart from any other dumb scale (you know the ones that just tell you your weight) rely on an initial reading the scale cannot do on its own. Meaning, you have to get your body fat % and ideally lean mass reading at with a DEXA scan for the software to properly estimate from that. If you are like me, just built different from the mean BMI estimates - I have a large frame and I'm muscular by nature. My BMI would always say I'm morbidly obese, even at healthy weight. This scale is completely incapable of realizing that and adjusting until I feed it with external parameters from a DEXA scan - this means - the sensors are complete rubbish and they cannot detect by impedance or otherwise anything accurately beyond your weight. From a hardware perspective, the scale detects weight (how it turns on automatically) 3 times out of 5, meaning you have to step on and off several times until it wakes up. I've had to "add it" to my Garmin ecosystem a few times, generally if I lose internet / WiFi and I have several issues with the device itself saying it is connected etc - but not sending the readings to the cloud as it should. There's no troubleshooting there because it is presumed to be working properly by the entire Garmin platform. Unless you don't have a scale already, and want one that looks kinda cool - I'd say don't buy it. I am extremely disappointed about this scale and I can't even imagine a Product Management team being "ok" selling something that is said to have sensors to READ, in REAL TIME, and DETECT/ESTIMATE body composition even though it does not - it starts from a hard coded set of parameters which is far from "sensing" anything, or any deviations among other types of humans outside of that hard coded mean. I would probably return it, not sure if I am past the deadline for that but I would 100% not recommend buying this product until they can figure out how to actually measure body comp in real time.

works like a normal scale for me

for months i've been trying to troubleshoot the issue with not getting the advanced metrics with no luck, i only get the BMI and nothing else, (fat, skeletal mass, water etc) i've chatted with support and called several times but nothing changed, everytime they ask me to do the same steps to troubleshoot and i just waste an hour then nothing happens.

I returned mine

I bought this specifically to expand the use of my new Garmin Fenix 8 and the Garmin App and to have my data from my watch and the data from my scale in one place. I was never able to get the scale to connect to my bluebooth to enable the connection to the Garmin App. I followed the directions to include resetting the scale, removing the garmin app and adding it back and turning my phone off and on. It should not have been this difficult. Returned the garmin scale and kept my old scale. If they resolve this issue, I might consider this scale in the future. At this price point, it should not be this difficult.
