Great for Tracking Weight Loss

I bought the S2 Smart Scale so I could automatically track my weight and record it with Garmin Connect. The biometrics such as BMI and Muscle Mass is nice to track to see if I am making progress towards my weight loss goals. I also is interesting to watch my fitness age decrease as my BMI decreases—a real wake up call for anyone interested in their fitness level.

It’s a scale

It weighs you. It tracks it through the app well as well. However for the price the body fat should be somewhat close. Mine was reading 26 percent which is at least 10 percent over. It says you can get a dexa scan to make it more accurate but really? For the price I have to spend more money. Not bad but would not spend the money again when it dies.

Does Not Measure All Metrics

I bought this scale so it would connect to my Garmin app and so I could see my trend in weight and body fat percentage. However, it does not register my body fat percentage (or anything else besides weight), and it doesn’t show up in my app. I scoured the internet for hours to find a solution (and found that MANY others experienced this issue) and none of the proposed solutions worked. I’m quite disappointed considering the price for this product. Since it only measures my weight, I could’ve saved a lot of money and bought a generic scale. I will have to see if I want to go through the hassle of a return. I do not recommend this product unless you’re willing to take the risk of it not fully working and not measuring all its advertised metrics.

Its okay

I bought this excited for the bone measurement and water %.The numbers are wildly different from day to day, especially the bone numbers. How does that change daily? The scale never responds when I stand on it, I have to pick it up or move it with my foot across the floor for it to wake up. Sadly, it doesn't seem to add more insight than my fit bit scale did. My favorite thing about the fit bit scale is that it could tell when you were standing on it. The graphs that show the change from day to day are nice, but nothing I couldn't see in the Garmin Connect app. It would be much better if I didnt have to work so hard to wake it up.

Great tool for tracking health stats!

Fully leaning in to the Garmin narrative, I bought this scale to help add more data to my profile. Did I already have a digital scale? You bet. Was it able to easily connect to my Garmin profile? Not one bit. Was it nice to see that both scales agreed with one another? Hell yeah! The scale works well, hasn't had any issues connecting to my profile, and gets the job done. Do I trust all the other metrics it provides? Eh, not much, but it is nice to have.

Love this scale!

My favorite thing about this scale is that it stores your data instantly. If you're like me and sometimes you don't even want to look at your weight, just don't look. The data is still there. As far as all the other metrics go, I have no clue how accurate they are. How does it know my bone mass? But I do enjoy the weather report at the end of the data show. We made the switch from an antique analog scale (seriously, it was 30 years old), and getting more accurate weight measurements is a good thing.

Works well with Garmin app and Garmin 965

I bought this a few weeks ago. I like it. It sinks well with Garmin App. It’s a little hard to wake up in the morning. I was hoping it would tell me how much fluid I lost after a run, but that category isn’t there. Otherwise, I like it and it seems accurate.

I love how this scale syncs seamlessly with the Garmin Connect app, all of my data is right there in one place. This was the main reason I purchased the Garmin Index S2, and it does not disappoint. The setup was quick, the display is clear and easy to read, and I like seeing not just my weight but also other metrics. It makes tracking progress so much simpler.

EASY SET UP-GREAT INFO

Bought this scale to incorporate weight and body composition with my Garmin watch and cycling computer. The scale calculates my current watts per Kilo so I have real time information about my cycling fitness. It is also very easy to set up for the different users in my household and know who each of us are based on our weight and Garmin Connect account.

Does what it is supposed to to do. However adding users is very complicated

The set up for 1 person is easy. Records weitght, fat to bone muscle %. However I tried to add my husband as a user and it now recognizes his weight as me. There is about 100lb difference between us. Makes for tracking my metrics extremely difficult
