Amazing upgrade, always with Vizio!

Coming from them-series 2017, the whole right side panel of led went out. It was time for and upgrade I was tossing between the oled and the pqx. I was able to get a killer deal for either and the firmware update made me gravitate to the oled. Long story short, this tv is amazing for a movie watcher that will utilize the hdr to it advantage, being able to have all the hdr formats this tv looks amazing in Dolby vision, hdr10 etc. Vrr still seems to be an issue and any word on the oled series getting freesync premium is my only hope. I hope this gets resolved because I love this tv a lot and would hate to have to return it because the firmware wasn't up to date for my new console or a computer.

Great looking screen!

Rating is really a 4.5 but that's unavailable. The unit looks great both in and off. It is short on physical features (Bluetooth and whatnot) but I use both external sound and media units. This is a great OLED to buy if you want a great TV at a reasonable price.

Major improvement over LCD

Bought about a week ago. Colors and blacks are way more impressive than LCD. Had a really bad issue with the "soap opera effect" especially on satellite. But after about 4 days of adjusting the settings, I got about 95% of it cleared up. Seems the issue comes and goes now depending on how the programming was recorded.

Nothing but problems

Had to get the tv replaced within a month because it was constant problems until one day it just stopped coming on. Having a lot of the same problems with the new one. Half the time it cuts on then never comes on and I have to unplug it to get reset so it will come on. Sometimes when it comes on it's like it's pink tinted or green tinted across the whole screen. I've never bought anything other than Vizios I have four of them in my house but I will never buy another one. This is the first time I went all in and bought the best one and it's terrible.

excellent picture at a great price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third vizio flat screen and each get better and better. I really like the picture quality and there is no one else out there that can beat the price. My only issue is with the sound. My older models had excellent sound and I never needed a sound bar, but my cable box was set for digital (vs PCM analog) sound and when I setup the TV, the lip syncing was very delayed, so I read online that changing to analog would solve this and it did. The sync function in the sound setings did not help enough. I am considering a sound bar.

3rd one so far

Great picture when it works, but I found myself more times unplugging and restarting. Sometimes it turns on and no sound or sound and no picture or no picture or sound , when switching from smartcast to hdmi input no sound half the time then you have to unplug it and start all over or wait a few minutes for it to turn on

Stunning picture

Bought this on Black Friday after reviewing 4-5 other LED TV's. I'm so glad that I did. The OLED experience is simply stunning. My previous TV was a Panasonic plasma which I held onto as long as I could because I didn't want to give up those deep blacks and contrast. This TV has such great contrast - for example when you watch a dark scene with isolated bright spots (like lamps, office windows, etc) it will blow you away how bright those spots are against the deep black surroundings. The panel is made by LG and you can get the same performance for a lot less money.

Awesome display, too many bugs

I've had this TV for half a year now and I absolutely love the rich display this offers, but there are SO MANY bugs it makes things difficult, it's a hit or miss when you switch to HDMI 2.1 sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, HomeKit is practically useless, Siri can turn off the TV but once it's off I am no longer able to turn it on with it, there was an audio issue where the sound went out but I have yet to reexperience that so I'm not sure if that was fixed, it's been far too long to not have these issues resolved and others experience the same thing, if they patch these this is a solid OLED TV

The contrast omg

I upgraded from a not-smart 2013 Samsung mid-range with a Fire Stick to this in the same size, 55". My wife says this OLED is brighter than that TV and I think she's right. I was worried about OLED brightness after watching reviews on YouTube, but clearly the screen is bright, just not as bright as more modern LEDs, which are, in reality, blindingly bright after seeing those at the store. I prefer this over the sunlamps that are modern LEDs. We watch Hulu, Prime, Netflix and have our Plex server. The smart system was able to completely replace our Fire Stick as all of those apps are included in the system. OLED blacks are simply amazing... seeing the Star Wars logo hovering there in perfect blackness is just amazing to witness. I practically bought this TV just to see that. However, the Fire Stick itself highlighted my only gripe: The connector area is not that well designed. It's hides beautifully and the cable management is a delight.... but you can't easily fit a Fire Stick to this TV. It won't directly fit into any HDMI ports because either the stick is too large to fit in the area or the plastic of the TV prevents it from going down all the way. My fire stick has the ethernet adapter so in order to plug it into to the TV you have to use the Fire Sticks 3 inch HDMI cable and you can't close the cable management panels, ever. It's moot for me because I've got a very clean install now, but still that area could be bigger and more accessible.
